After facing a backlash from the European counterparts, Qatar slams back saying that their remarks are a sign of racism.

Few days left for Soccer World Cup 2022 in Qatar but it has been facing immense criticism by the European countries.

The criticism is towards Qatar’s treatment of foreign workers, and lack of rights for women and LGBTQ community.

Criticism remarks also mentioned that Qatar doesn’t allow women or LGBTQ community to attend the World Cup.

Qatar has denied these remarks and maintained that ‘everyone’ is welcome in Qatar and to attend the Soccer World Cup.

The emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Hammad Al Thani has dismissed these allegations by the European country. He said that Qatar is facing unprecedented growing campaign that reeks of double standards.

The foreign minister of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani also addressed this issue and stated, “they are being peddled by a very small number of people, in 10 countries at most, who are not at all representative of the rest of the world,”

He further added, ‘there is a lot of hypocrisy in these attacks.’

Moreover, the organiser of the World Cup said, ‘people are attacking the Gulf state because it competed as equals and snatched the World Cup from rival bidders.’

The much anticipated World Cup will begin in five days from now in full swing. The fans are excited all over the world.
