After a fascinating win against Germany, Japan faces an upset and could not maintain the winning streak against Costa Rica

As the match began, Japan followed a similar strategy that it showed during the match against Germany.

However, this time it did not work because Germany was following a similar strategy.

Japan tried hard during the game to pass the ball and make a goal but Costa Rica’s defense was unbeatable as they did not let the ball out of their sight for even one second.

Japan coach Moriyasu said, “I have no regrets, to be honest. The result was a shame but doesn’t mean that what we’ve done was wrong. I decided the tactics. So the result didn’t work out but we tried.”

He further added, “I believe this was what Japan needed in that endeavour.”

Costa Rica’s Keysher Fuller became the star of the show with his high 14-yard strike that made his team victorious.
