Grammy winner singer, Celine Dion postpones her Courage World Tour as she is suffering from a rare neurological disease

Celine Dion recently shared with her fans about her health condition and how she is suffering from a rare neurological disorder.

The disorder is called Stiff person syndrome which is an autoimmune disease that causes rigidity and spasms in muscles which can make normal day-to-day routine quite difficult.

It also showcases strong sensitivity to sound, touch, and emotional stimuli. Celine has been suffering from it for quite some time due to which she postponed her ‘Courage world tour’ from 2023 to 2024.

She addressed her fans saying, “while we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is what’s been causing all of the spasms that I’ve been having,”

The Titanic’s My Heart Will Go on singer added, “unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”

Moreover, she said, “I’m working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to build back my strength and my ability to perform again,” she said. “But I have to admit it’s been a struggle.”

Celine is focusing on her health at the moment and is trying hard to recover as soon as she can. Fans and admirers from all over the world wish her a speedy recovery.
