It might seem that Tesla has canceled the production operations in the Shanghai plant because of the coming year-end holidays but that is not the case.

On Saturday, Tesla informed their workers to suspend the production sector and take a break. The Autocar company did not explain and gave any sort of explanation to the workers.

It is reported that this decision was expected because Tesla decided earlier this year to suspend the production of its most demanded model, Model Y from the 25th of December to the 1st of January.

By suspending the Model Y production, Tesla will cut 30% of its production in a month for this model.

Some workers reported that after China lifted the zero covid policy, it has seen an increase in covid infected cases due to which people are getting sick quite quickly and are unable to attend workspaces. Due to this reason, production levels always get slow.
