Previously, Pakistan Cricket Board appointed Pakistani legend cricketer and loved sports personality, Shahid Afridi as the interim head of the selection committee.
But now it is revealed that Shahid Afridi will be the Chief selector of the Pakistan Cricket team. Also, Shahid Afridi is not the only senior player joining the decision-making board, but according to PCB, Abdul Razzaq and Rao Iftikhar Anjum will also be leading the cricket team in tour-specific committees.
Najam Sethi who is the head of the PCB management committee believes that new people on the committee will bring forth amazing results and make bold decisions to strengthen the National team against New Zealand.
He said, “I have no doubts that despite limited time, they will make brave and bold decisions that will help us produce a strong and competitive side in the series against New Zealand.”
New Zealand has reached Pakistan to play two test matches and three one-day matches at National Stadium in Karachi. The New Zealand team is playing in Pakistan after 19 years.
