KARACHI: The heirs of the victims involved in the Karsaz Road accident on Friday publicly pardoned Natasha Danish responsible for the tragic mishap. They stated that they had no objection to the suspect’s release on bail. The victims’ families clarified that the incident was not intentional, and their decision to forgive the suspect was made out of compassion and for the sake of peace.
According to an affidavit prepared by the heirs, they confirmed that the matter had been resolved amicably between them and the suspect. “Matters have been settled between us and we have pardoned the suspect. We have forgiven for Allah’s sake, who is the most kind and most merciful,” read the statement. The affidavit is expected to be submitted in court during the next hearing of the bail plea.
Accident Not Deliberate
The heirs emphasized in their statement that the accident, which resulted in the tragic loss of life, was not a premeditated act of murder. They made it clear that the suspect did not intentionally cause the crash and, therefore, should not face the harshest legal penalties.
“We do not see this as an act of intentional harm. The accident was unfortunate, but it was not an act of deliberate violence. Keeping this in mind, we have no objection to the granting of bail to the accused,” said one of the family members during a brief media interaction outside the court.
No Pressure Involved in Forgiveness
The affidavit also directly addressed potential concerns about external pressure or influence on the decision to forgive. The heirs affirmed that they made the decision freely and without any coercion. “We have given this no-objection certificate without any pressure. What we have stated in the affidavit is absolutely correct and based on our own will,” the statement read.
The case, which garnered public attention due to the fatal nature of the accident, has seen various developments. However, this latest turn of events highlights the families’ focus on reconciliation and their belief that the incident was an unfortunate mishap rather than a criminal act.
Legal Implications
With the submission of the no-objection certificate, legal experts believe the court is likely to consider the bail plea favorably. While the pardon by the heirs may not completely absolve the suspect of legal responsibilities, it is expected to weigh heavily in the court’s decision-making process.
According to legal analysts, in cases where the heirs of victims forgive a suspect, the court often takes a lenient approach. However, the final decision rests with the judge presiding over the case. The next hearing is scheduled in the coming week, where the affidavit will be presented as part of the bail plea arguments.
Public Reaction
The public reaction to the news has been mixed. While some have applauded the families for their act of forgiveness, others have questioned whether the legal system should still hold the suspect accountable, regardless of the heirs’ decision. Nonetheless, the heirs’ choice to forgive has undoubtedly changed the course of the legal proceedings.
The court will now determine the fate of the suspect, but for the families, their act of forgiveness is a reflection of their desire for peace and closure.
