KARACHI: Prominent businessman Junaid Naqi has been elected unopposed as the President of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI). Along with him, Ejaz Ahmed Sheikh was elected as Senior Vice President, and Syed Tariq Hussain became Vice President. This marks the start of a new leadership era for KATI.

Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya congratulated the newly elected office bearers. He praised outgoing President Johar Qandhari and past presidents for their contributions to KATI. Chhaya expressed confidence in Naqi’s leadership, believing the association would continue its progress under his guidance.

In his farewell speech, Johar Qandhari shared his optimism about Naqi’s potential to improve the Korangi Industrial Area. He called Naqi a capable leader who could positively impact the local economy and support KATI’s mission to serve the business community.

Upon his election, Junaid Naqi thanked Patron-in-Chief SM Tanveer, Zubair Chhaya, and senior members for their trust. He promised to follow the vision of the late SM Munir and work hard for the industrialists of Korangi. Naqi highlighted his commitment to improving infrastructure and solving key issues faced by the industrial area.

KATI’s leadership expressed full confidence in Naqi’s ability to lead. They expect him to address the challenges ahead and continue the association’s legacy of progress for the industrial sector in Karachi.
