Beirut residents experienced another sleepless night as airstrikes hit the city again. At 3:45 a.m., the last strike targeted Dahieh, the southern suburb of Beirut. Smoke is still rising from the area this morning.
Even Jeanine Hennis, the United Nations’ special coordinator for Lebanon, mentioned on X (formerly Twitter) about enduring “another sleepless night” in Beirut.
For many, the situation has grown more alarming. For the first time, a missile hit a building in central Beirut, unsettling residents across the city.

The building targeted housed a former Hezbollah parliament member and also served as a medical center linked to the group. The attack took place in a neighborhood known as a “safe zone,” due to its Christian-majority population, only five minutes away from my home.
The loud, howling missile passed directly overhead, causing widespread fear. People in the neighborhood felt the growing threat, as the sense of safety is gradually disappearing across Beirut. Each day, the fear grows, and the danger spreads further into the city’s heart.
