A Syrian police officer was killed, and another was wounded in an Israeli air strike on southwestern Syria. The state-run news agency, SANA, confirmed that the attack targeted the eastern entrance to the city of Quneitra.
The air strike is part of a series of assaults Israel has carried out in Syria over the past decade. Since Syria’s civil war began in 2011, Israel has intensified its attacks, aiming to weaken Iranian and Hezbollah influence in the region.
