To celebrate World Space Week, the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) launched over 4,000 postcards into space. This initiative is part of the ‘Postcards to Space’ project. Additionally, it stems from a collaboration between Suparco, the World Space Week Association (WSWA), and Jeff Bezos-backed Blue Origin.

The NS-27 New Shepard mission delivered the postcards to space, recently beginning their journey. Thousands of Pakistani students from various schools participated by designing postcards that showcased their space dreams and creative ideas.

‘Flown to Space’ Stamp

Upon their return to Earth, the postcards will bear a special ‘Flown to Space’ stamp, making them a memorable keepsake for the young participants.

Suparco has been a leading national coordinator for World Space Week since 2005, recognized for organizing numerous space-related activities across Pakistan. WSWA’s invitation to Suparco for this collaboration was seen as a mark of appreciation for the organization’s efforts in inspiring children and promoting space exploration.

This initiative offered students a creative platform to express their imagination and passion for space, giving them a chance to engage directly with space exploration.
