LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court granted interim pre-arrest bail to Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, sisters of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan, on Friday. The bail relates to three new cases tied to protests that occurred on October 6.

Both sisters appeared before two different judges of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) to file their bail pleas. After reviewing their requests, the judges approved the bail conditions. They ordered the sisters to provide surety bonds of Rs 50,000 for each case.

Judge Manzer Ali Khan approved bail in one case that was registered with the Masti Gate police station. This bail is valid until November 23. Meanwhile, Judge Irfan Haider allowed bail in two additional cases linked to the Shafiqabad and Lorry Adda police stations. This bail will remain in effect until November 8.

The cases stem from the protests that erupted in October, which involved PTI supporters demonstrating against the government’s actions. The protests were part of a larger political movement spearheaded by Imran Khan, which has seen numerous legal challenges for party leaders and their families.

The October protests have led to numerous legal challenges for party leaders and their families, illustrating the political climate’s volatility. Further hearings will determine the future of these cases as they unfold in the coming weeks.
