General Munir made these remarks during his visit to Quetta Garrison. He attended the funeral prayers for those who became martyrs in a suicide bombing attack at Quetta Railway Station. The attack targeted innocent citizens and passengers, leaving several people dead and injured.

Collective Effort in the Fight Against Terrorism

In his statement, General Munir emphasized that the nation must pursue the mission to eradicate terrorism with full resolve. “We will pursue this mission with full national resolve and collective determination,” he said. His words echoed a strong commitment to tackling terrorism head-on with the unity and determination of the entire nation.

Funeral Prayers and Military Presence

Various high-ranking officials attended the funeral prayers for the victims of the attack. Among them were the federal minister of interior, the governor and chief minister of Balochistan, provincial cabinet members, and a large group of military and civilian officials. The army chief joined them to pay his respects to those who lost their lives in the horrific attack.

After the funeral, General Munir visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Quetta to meet with those injured in the suicide blast. His visit showed solidarity and support for the victims and their families. It also reflected the military’s commitment to standing by those affected by such tragic incidents.

Reception at Balochistan Corps Command

Upon his arrival in Quetta, the army chief was received by the Balochistan corps commander. His visit underscored the importance of military leadership in coordinating efforts to combat terrorism and support the victims of such attacks.
