Karachi: Pakistan’s leading welfare organization, JDC Foundation, has opened its fourth old age home. Named the JDC Shamim Sheikhani Old Age Home, the facility is located near Numaish Chowrangi on M.A. Jinnah Road.
The inauguration ceremony was led by philanthropist Ali Shekhani. A prayer was offered by Maulana Manzar Thanvi. While speaking to the media, Shekhani urged people to cherish their parents.
“For God’s sake, don’t render your parents homeless,” he said. He encouraged families to provide love and care to their elders. Shekhani also assured that the old age home would welcome those with no one to support them.
Support and Comprehensive Care
Zafar Abbas, General Secretary of JDC Foundation, highlighted the home’s facilities. Residents will receive housing, meals, and medical care. The building includes separate floors for men and women, ensuring privacy and comfort.
