Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to empowering women and ensuring equal opportunities for their active participation in the nation’s development. Marking National Working Women’s Day, he emphasized the vital role of women in shaping society and driving economic progress.

Celebrating Women’s Contributions

The Prime Minister acknowledged the significant impact of Pakistani women in various fields, including education, healthcare, business, and public service. “Women constitute more than half of our population, and their role is indispensable to our country’s future,” he stated.

PM Shehbaz quoted Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, saying, “No nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you.” This powerful message highlighted the importance of gender equality for national advancement.

Government Initiatives for Women’s Empowerment

Shehbaz Sharif outlined several initiatives introduced by the government to support working women. Interest-free loans for women entrepreneurs, endowment funds for women’s education and sports development, and daycare centers are among the key measures aimed at alleviating challenges faced by women balancing professional and personal responsibilities.

Additionally, the government has launched specialized training programs to enhance women’s skills and help them advance in their careers. These programs aim to prepare women for leadership roles and foster their professional growth.
