Then, she trained at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy, which laid the foundation for her stellar career. At just 15, director Franco Zeffirelli cast her as Juliet after noticing her performance in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. Moreover, her portrayal of Juliet alongside Leonard Whiting as Romeo won her a Golden Globe for Best New Actress.
