The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced an operation against terrorists in Lower Kurram.
The decision was made following the worsening law and order situation in the area. A notification issued by the District Administration Kurram confirmed the operation.
Attacks have continued despite a peace agreement signed earlier this month. Vehicle convoys carrying essential goods remain frequent targets.
