A missing 17-year-old girl, Zahra Batool, was recovered from Naushahro Feroze, Sindh, after an intensive search by Karachi police. Zahra disappeared from her home in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 5 on January 17, sparking concerns about her safety.

Zahra’s mother reported her disappearance to the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station, leading to the registration of an abduction case under case number 22/2025. Initial suspicions pointed toward a neighborhood watchman, which Zahra’s mother highlighted in the FIR.
Recovery Operation
Following a tip-off, police formed a special team and traced Zahra to Naushahro Feroze. She was recovered on Saturday morning and brought back to Karachi. According to preliminary investigations, Zahra left willingly with the watchman to marry him.
The watchman, identified as a neighbor, had allegedly influenced Zahra into eloping. The case took a turn when Zahra’s statements aligned with the evidence, revealing her departure was not forced but consensual.
