YouTube has improved YouTube Analytics (YTA) by making device data more accessible in the Audience tab on both desktop and mobile versions.
Previously, TV viewership data was only available on desktop, making it hard to locate. The latest update solves this issue, ensuring mobile, TV, and other device data are easily accessible.
Since device type influences YouTube’s recommendation system, this update will help creators optimize content for different screens. Understanding viewer preferences allows them to adjust video format, length, and upload timing for better engagement.
YouTube Expands ‘Communities’ Feature
YouTube has also expanded its ‘Communities’ feature, giving creators a new way to interact with their audience beyond the comments section.

Dedicated Space for Creator-Viewer Interaction
The Communities feature functions like a forum within a creator’s channel, allowing them to share posts, receive reactions, and engage in conversations.
The feature was first introduced at the Made by YouTube 2024 event and has received positive feedback from early testers.
With this update, YouTube wants to make its platform more interactive, reducing the need for creators to rely on Reddit or Discord for audience engagement.
Creators now have better control over their channels with new moderation tools that allow them to filter inappropriate content and manage discussions.
Feature Available on Mobile App
The Communities feature is currently available only on the YouTube mobile app under the new ‘Posts’ tab (previously called Community).
Creators must manually enable this feature. Once activated, they will receive an email notification and a banner alert on their channel page.
If unsure, creators can preview the feature by selecting “Go to Community” on their channel page before turning it on.
With these new tools, YouTube continues to enhance its platform, giving creators better insights, greater control, and more ways to connect with their audience.
