Pakistan is set to take a major step in artificial intelligence development with the launch of the AI Innovation Lab in Karachi. The initiative, announced by Mehwish Salman Ali, CEO of Data Vault Pakistan, at the International Digital Cooperation Forum (IDCF), aims to accelerate AI startups, foster innovation, and integrate Pakistani AI solutions into the global market.

Driving AI Growth in Pakistan

By fostering strategic partnerships and international collaborations, the lab will create new opportunities for Pakistani AI startups and ensure their participation in the global AI ecosystem. The project is also expected to attract foreign investment and industry partners, boosting the country’s technology sector.

Global Representation and Key Meetings

She met with Hakeem AbdulAziz Alrasheed, General Manager of Saudi Arabia’s leading technology firm Elm, to explore partnerships in AI and digital security. In conclusion the discussion focused on potential collaborations to develop AI-driven solutions for security and data management.

These collaborations aim to strengthen Pakistan’s digital transformation efforts and expand the country’s role in AI research.

Strengthening International Collaboration

During the forum, Mehwish also met with Alberto Rodrigues da Silva, Secretary of State for Modernization and Digitalization of Portugal. Their discussions revolved around enhancing bilateral cooperation in AI research, development, and innovation. Recognized as a leading researcher in computer science and engineering, da Silva expressed interest in Pakistan’s AI capabilities. Mehwish invited him to visit Data Vault’s data center to explore further collaboration opportunities.

 This partnership aims to develop AI-based solutions for regional and international markets, expanding Pakistan’s AI footprint beyond its borders.
