Karachi – The investigation into Mustafa Amir’s brutal murder has taken a shocking turn as police uncover new details about the weapons seized from the prime suspect, Armaghan Qureishi. Sources reveal that an Israeli-made Uzi rifle was among the firearms recovered from his possession.
Authorities sent at least three weapons belonging to Armaghan to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis. Experts confirmed that one of the weapons was an automatic Israeli-made Uzi. The recovered arms, valued at millions of rupees, were found unlicensed. Armaghan and his father, Kamran Qureishi, failed to provide legal documentation for the weapons.
Confession and Grisly Murder Details
During police interrogation, Armaghan Qureishi confessed to murdering Mustafa Amir. His statement was recorded on video. According to police officials, Armaghan admitted that he drove the victim’s car from Khayaban-e-Mohafiz to Dareji before setting it on fire. Shockingly, Mustafa was still alive and semi-conscious inside the vehicle.
Armaghan disclosed that he assaulted Mustafa before setting the car ablaze. He fired three warning shots with a rifle, but none hit the victim. Investigators believe the attack was premeditated and carried out in a fit of rage.
Mustafa Amir, a young resident of Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA), was kidnapped and allegedly murdered by his friends on January 6. His body was stuffed into the trunk of his car, which was later torched in the Hub area of Balochistan.
Co-Accused Exposes Disturbing Motive
Shiraz, the co-accused in the case, has made startling revelations about Armaghan’s motives. He stated that Armaghan was enraged after a dispute with a girl, which ultimately led to the murder. Shiraz revealed that Mustafa endured hours of torture before being tied up and burned alive.
Investigators suspect that Armaghan’s luxurious lifestyle played a role in fueling his violent temper. Shiraz, who had been friends with Armaghan since childhood, disclosed that their friendship had ended at one point but rekindled when Armaghan recently visited his home.
Police Probe Continues
Authorities are now examining Armaghan’s background, financial dealings, and potential links to illegal arms. The police are also investigating how the suspect acquired high-value weapons, including the Uzi rifle.
Meanwhile, forensic experts are analyzing evidence to establish further links between the recovered weapons and the crime. Police officials assert that the case is nearing completion, and they will soon present a watertight case against the suspects.
The murder of Mustafa Amir has sent shockwaves across Karachi, with demands for swift justice growing louder. The police have assured the victim’s family that they will ensure the perpetrators face the full force of the law.
