Free GTA V Upgrade for PC Brings Enhanced Features and New Content
Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced is now available for PC, bringing improved graphics, new vehicles, and exclusive GTA Online content. Players can upgrade for free and migrate their progress from the older version.
Upgrade Now Available
PC players can now access the upgraded version of GTA V through the Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, and Epic Games. This update introduces features previously exclusive to next-gen consoles, optimizing performance and visuals for modern PCs. Players who already own the game can upgrade for free, while new buyers will receive both the Enhanced and Legacy versions.
Exciting Additions in GTA Online
GTA Online players on PC can now enjoy Hao’s Special Works (HSW), unlocking powerful new vehicle modifications and stunning Chameleon Paints. New vehicles include the Pegassi Weaponized Ignus, Coil Cyclone II, Karin S95, Imponte Arbiter GT, and Pfister Astron Custom. Additionally, GTA+ members can claim the Principe Deveste Eight for free until May 28.

Explore Wildlife and New Missions
The update enhances the in-game world with Ambient Animals, allowing players to encounter wildlife in natural settings. A daily Wildlife Photography Challenge is also available from the LS Tourist Board at Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness.
A new Oscar Guzman Flies Again update lets players take control of McKenzie Field Hangar for arms trafficking missions, introducing new aircraft and expansion opportunities.
Smoother Gameplay and Improved Graphics
The Enhanced version supports ray tracing for ambient occlusion, global illumination, shadows, and reflections, improving realism. The update also introduces AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS for better performance. Future updates will include Frame Generation support.
PC players with DualSense controllers can experience adaptive triggers, while those with SSDs and DirectStorage-compatible hardware will enjoy faster load times. The update also enhances resolution, aspect ratios, framerates, and audio, with Dolby Atmos support for immersive sound.
Keep Playing on the Legacy Version
Players who don’t meet the system requirements for the Enhanced version can continue using GTA V Legacy, accessible in the game launcher. However, Legacy and Enhanced players will be on separate servers, so friends must play the same version.
Story Mode progress from the Legacy version can be transferred to the Enhanced version, ensuring a seamless transition for long-time players.
Enhanced Security and Player Experience
The update includes kernel-based anti-cheat protection and proactive voice chat moderation to maintain a fair online experience. Rockstar encourages players to follow the Community Guidelines for a better multiplayer environment.
