In a major PSL 10 injury update, Karachi Kings suffered an early setback as Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has been ruled out of the tournament due to a hairline fracture in his right thumb. The injury occurred during a practice session on Thursday, just days before Karachi Kings’ opening match against Multan Sultans.
Litton Das Returns Home After Injury
Litton Das, a key pick for Karachi Kings in the Silver Category of the 2025 HBL PSL Draft, sustained the injury while training. Following scans, a hairline fracture was confirmed. Medical advice has led him to return to Bangladesh for further treatment and recovery.
Sharing his disappointment on social media, Litton said, “I was truly excited to play in the PSL for Karachi Kings, but the Almighty had other plans. During a practice session, I picked up a finger injury. Scans revealed a hairline fracture, and recovery will take at least two weeks. So sadly, my PSL mission is over before it even began.”

Karachi Kings Act Quickly with Replacements
In response to the injury blow, Karachi Kings have named two replacements for the ongoing season. Australian wicketkeeper-batter Ben McDermott has been brought in to fill the void left by Litton Das.
Rising Star Saad Baig Joins Squad
Karachi Kings have also made a partial replacement for New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, who is currently unavailable for the Karachi leg of the tournament. The franchise has brought in Pakistan U19 captain and wicketkeeper-batter Saad Baig.
Baig, who played in the Emerging Category for the Kings last season, caught attention with his performances in the ICC U19 World Cup. His promotion to the main squad underlines the franchise’s focus on grooming young talent and strengthening bench depth.
Focus Turns to Opening Clash
Despite these changes, Karachi Kings are ready to begin their PSL 10 journey. Led by Australian star David Warner, the team will face Multan Sultans in their opening fixture at National Bank Stadium, Karachi.
