Lahore Qalandars’ all-rounder Sikandar Raza has clarified his availability for the remaining matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, reassuring fans that he will return for national duty and PSL despite conflicting reports.
Clearing the Air on Test and PSL Commitments
With PSL 10 set to resume on 17 May after a brief suspension due to political tensions between India and Pakistan, questions emerged regarding foreign player availability. Raza, who was named in Zimbabwe’s squad for their historic Test against England starting 22 May, took to social media to end the speculation.
In a post on platform X, Raza wrote, “National duty is the top priority for me, and once picked, I will honour and fulfil it. All reports of me missing the Test match are not true.” He also denied claims that he would not return to Pakistan for the PSL. “All the reports of me not returning to Pakistan are also not true,” he emphasized.
A Personal Message to Fans
Raza also shared an Instagram story that read, “Aa raha hoon In Sha Allah,” translating to “I’m coming, God willing.” His statement has brought relief to both Qalandars fans and Zimbabwe cricket followers.

Balancing Club and Country
Zimbabwe’s one-off Test at Trent Bridge is their first in England since 2003. Raza, a seasoned campaigner with 1,286 runs and 38 wickets from 18 Tests, brings valuable experience to the side. His last red-ball appearance was against Afghanistan earlier this year.
Despite the upcoming international commitment, Raza is expected to feature in at least one more PSL match before flying to England. His return could boost Lahore Qalandars, who aim to secure a playoff spot in the final phase of the tournament.
Strong PSL Performance
Raza has been instrumental for Lahore Qalandars this season, scoring 228 runs at an average of 45.60 and a strike rate of 162.85, including two half-centuries. His all-round contributions make him a key figure as PSL 10 heads toward its knockout stage.
