“>In a major development against Indian-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan, security forces eliminated nine terrorists in a series of successful intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the operations and identified the militants as affiliates of banned outfits backed by Indian elements.
Three Operations, Nine Militants Neutralized
The ISPR reported that security forces carried out three separate engagements. In Dera Ismail Khan, troops acted on precise intelligence and engaged militants linked to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). After an intense firefight, four terrorists were killed.
A second operation in Tank District resulted in the death of two more terrorists.
Weapons and Ammunition Recovered
Troops recovered weapons and ammunition from the sites. The ISPR stated that the terrorists had been involved in multiple violent attacks across the region. Sanitisation efforts are now underway to clear remaining threats.

Top Leadership Praises Security Forces
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces, saying their swift and precise actions were accelerating the defeat of terrorism. However He vowed to continue targeting groups “backed by India” and assured that justice would be delivered.
In conclusion President Asif Ali Zardari echoed this support, stating that the operations reflect Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism.
Rising Trend of Cross-Border Militancy
This incident follows a series of similar operations.
Pakistan’s security agencies remain on high alert following intelligence reports that India is using proxy networks to destabilize the country. According to ISPR, India has “reactivated assets” to escalate violence through terrorist groups.
