Rumors surrounding Avengers: Doomsday have taken a concerning turn. According to insider Daniel RPK via Patreon, Marvel Studios has yet to lock down the film’s third act—even as filming continues.

Daniel claims the final portion of the film is still under development, raising alarm among fans and industry watchers. With filming well underway, many worry the movie may feel rushed or unfinished.

“If they can’t get it right in time, will they just roll with whatever sticks?” one fan commented on social media. While major MCU projects have faced tight timelines before, Doomsday seems unusually chaotic—especially given the scale of cast, crossovers, and multiversal elements involved.

Plot Rumors Point to Sentry’s Void and Fantastic Four Universe

Although full plot leaks are circulating online, Daniel RPK and others haven’t confirmed any full script leaks. However, bits and pieces are emerging.

One major claim: filming has taken place inside the Void realm linked to Sentry (who will debut in Thunderbolts) and also in the Fantastic Four’s alternate universe.

Marvel fans will recall that the Thunderbolts post-credit scene revealed the Fantastic Four will travel to Earth-616. That detail has led to speculation that Avengers: Doomsday might return to the FF universe briefly—perhaps to explore Doctor Doom’s origin.

This leads to more questions: Is Robert Downey Jr. really playing Doom? And if so, is his version from the FF’s world or a different timeline altogether? The Fantastic Four: First Steps prequel comic reportedly hints at Mole Man and other setups—but nothing has been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios.

Are the Russo Brothers Back for More?

Adding more fuel to the speculation: reports say the Russo Brothers directed multiple post-credit scenes tied to Doomsday and Fantastic Four: First Steps. If true, this suggests Marvel may be reassembling key talent behind the scenes to stabilize the narrative.

Still, the scale of this film—already juggling Kang’s multiversal fallout, Sentry, Doom, and the FF—might be too much. Some insiders suggest it’s shaping up like a soft reboot or convergence event, tying up loose ends from Phase 5 before launching a new arc.

Should Fans Be Worried?

With Avengers: Doomsday still over a year away from its expected release, Marvel has time to course-correct. But fan patience is wearing thin.

Following mixed reviews for Quantumania and The Marvels, Marvel Studios is under pressure to deliver a truly epic ensemble film. Rumors of unfinished scripts, last-minute cast additions, and overloaded storylines are not helping ease concerns.
