Israel Turning Gaza into ‘Graveyard of Children and Starving’: UNRWA Chief Sounds Alarm

The head of UNRWA has accused Israel of using a “cruel and Machiavellian scheme to kill” in Gaza. Philippe Lazzarini made the statement on Friday in a post on X.

He said Gaza has become the “graveyard of children [and] starving people.” According to UN data, around 800 Palestinians have died since May while trying to get aid.

“These people have no way out,” he wrote. “Their choice is between two deaths: starvation or being shot.”

Lazzarini said the world is watching the collapse of Gaza’s humanity in real time. Aid convoys often face delays or attacks. Civilians are targeted while lining up for food. Basic supplies like water, food, and medicine remain out of reach for most.

Israel claims it targets Hamas fighters. But the death toll suggests a wider impact. Entire families have been wiped out. Starvation and fear now spread faster than help.

Gaza’s Rescue Workers Lose All Ambulances

Gaza’s civil defence teams have lost all their ambulances in Gaza City. Israeli airstrikes destroyed the last of them, a spokesman said Friday.

Now, emergency crews travel in civilian cars. “We dig through rubble and carry the wounded without proper gear,” the spokesman explained. “We get distress calls, but we can’t respond to all of them.”

Hospitals remain overcrowded and under-supplied. Some operate in complete darkness. Electricity is gone. Many patients die waiting for help.

Rescue workers say attacks target them too. Several medics have died trying to save others. The collapse of medical services has worsened the crisis.

Rights groups say these actions may violate international law. Blocking aid and hitting ambulances could be war crimes, they warn.

45 Dead in One Morning, Including Aid Seekers

Israeli attacks killed at least 45 Palestinians on Friday morning. Hospital sources confirmed the number to Al Jazeera.

Eleven of the victims were seeking aid when bombs hit the area. The rest died in strikes across Gaza’s north and center.

Airstrikes targeted residential buildings and streets. Witnesses described chaos, with people trapped under rubble and no help in sight.

The latest attacks follow a deadly trend. Aid seekers and civilians die almost daily. Still, no ceasefire is in sight.

Israel blames Hamas for hiding among civilians. But UN officials and rights groups question this claim. They say the bombing of shelters, schools, and food lines is unacceptable.

Lazzarini warned, “We are watching people die in slow motion. And we are doing nothing.”

The world remains divided. Some countries call for peace. Others continue to support Israel’s military action. Meanwhile, the death toll rises—and Gaza suffers in silence.
