In a major blow to Balochistan terrorism, Pakistan’s security forces eliminated four more terrorists during a sanitisation operation in Kalat district. This follow-up action came two days after an intelligence-based operation that had already neutralised four members of the banned group, ‘Fitna al-Hindustan’. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the latest success in a statement issued on Tuesday.
Terrorist Hideout Discovered
The sanitisation operation targeted suspected hideouts around Kalat. Security forces launched the offensive based on precise intelligence, aiming to clear remaining threats after the initial strike.
According to ISPR, forces successfully hunted down and neutralised four additional terrorists during Monday’s operation. The sweep also led to the discovery of a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives.
Officials described the busted hideout as a key point used by the terror group to plan further sabotage activities in the region.
Indian Link Alleged Behind Group
The terrorists reportedly belonged to ‘Fitna al-Hindustan’, a group officials describe as an Indian proxy. The term was recently introduced by the government to categorise all Balochistan-based militant organisations allegedly supported by India.
Security sources suggest the group’s objective is to destabilise the region and derail ongoing development and peace efforts. The military has vowed to stop such elements from undermining national stability.
ISPR reaffirmed its commitment to disrupting foreign-sponsored terrorist networks and ensuring that no safe havens remain in Balochistan.

Government Commends Forces’ Efforts
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their swift and decisive action. The president lauded the troops for neutralising the enemies of peace with courage and professionalism.
He stressed that terrorism poses a threat to national stability, but the unity of the nation and the resolve of its armed forces would ensure victory over this menace.
“The terrorists want to sabotage peace and development in the country. That cannot and will not be allowed,” Zardari said in a statement.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed the president’s sentiments. He commended the forces for protecting civilians and preventing potential attacks. He also vowed to uproot every element of ‘Fitna al-Hindustan’ from Pakistan.
“These terrorists are enemies of our national integrity. Their destructive goals will never succeed,” the prime minister stated. “The government and our brave forces will not stop until terrorism is completely eradicated.”
Interior Minister Backs Forces
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid tribute to the security personnel. He noted that their quick response had successfully foiled another attempt by India-backed militants to create chaos in Balochistan.
He referred to the outcome of the operation as a clear warning to foreign-backed terrorists.
“The nation stands firmly behind its forces. The end of Indian-sponsored terrorists sends a message: there will be no place to hide. Every one of them will be eliminated,” Naqvi declared.
Rising Violence in the Region
The security situation in Balochistan has remained volatile in recent months. Militants have escalated both the frequency and intensity of their attacks, often targeting civilians and security forces alike.
Just last week, unknown assailants opened fire on a passenger bus in Kalat, killing three people and injuring seven others. Such attacks underline the persistent threat that insurgents pose to the region’s stability.
Officials link this surge in violence to renewed efforts by foreign actors to destabilise the province through their local proxies.
India Accused of Sponsoring Terrorism
In April, ISPR Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry accused India of stepping up its support for terrorist networks operating in Pakistan. He presented what he called “irrefutable evidence” of Indian involvement, allegedly directed by Indian military officials.
The security establishment believes these coordinated attacks are part of a broader campaign to undermine Pakistan’s internal security and slow down its economic progress, especially in strategic regions like Balochistan.
As operations continue, Pakistani forces remain on high alert, determined to eliminate all remaining threats and restore peace to the troubled province.
