Alizeh Shah Speaks Out Against Industry Abuse

Actor Alizeh Shah has publicly condemned years of abuse, harassment, and ridicule within the Pakistani entertainment industry. In a powerful series of Instagram stories, she shared emotional memories of mistreatment, calling out the toxic culture that, according to her, silences those who speak up. This, she said, is her final attempt to reclaim her voice.

Breaking the Silence

“I’m going to expose every single person who did me wrong,” Alizeh declared in her videos. She revealed the emotional toll years of trolling, memes, and harsh criticism have taken on her. “You have no idea how difficult an actor’s life already is,” she added, calling out fans, colleagues, and influencers who mocked her instead of supporting her.

Her latest statements follow backlash from the resurfacing of a 2022 interview. Actor Yasir Nawaz had criticized her as difficult to work with and vowed never to work with her again. While she didn’t name Nawaz, her stories appeared to respond directly to the narrative shaped by interviews like his.

Ramp Fall Revisited

Alizeh revisited a viral moment from Bridal Couture Week 2021 — a ramp fall that made headlines. At the time, she called it a mistake and thanked singer Shazia Manzoor for helping her.

Now, she says that fall was intentional. “We had to go right. This lady pulled me and dragged me on the floor,” Alizeh said, playing the video to support her claim. She also accused Manzoor of inappropriate touching during the walk and said she felt helpless in the moment.

What added to her pain, she said, was being mocked afterward. Host Juggan Kazim and influencer Jannat Mirza had recreated the moment for laughs. Alizeh shared those clips, saying they turned her trauma into a joke. She had remained silent to appear professional, but the betrayal, she said, ran deep.

A False Accusation in 2023

Alizeh also addressed a major 2023 controversy. She was accused of throwing a lit cigarette at a fellow actor. But her version of the story is drastically different.

“She pushed me. I didn’t fall. Then she slapped me,” Alizeh recounted. She said no footage showed her throwing a cigarette, yet the rumor spread quickly. She admits that in frustration, she threw a sandal, but denied the rest of the accusations.

Despite cameras on set, no evidence supported the claims against her. Still, she said she was advised against filing a police report to avoid disrupting the project. The next day, headlines portrayed her as violent and unstable.

To back her version, she posted an old interview clip of actor Sami Khan confirming that she had been slapped. “I stayed quiet at the time because I was weak,” she wrote. “It took me years to heal from this lie.”

Pushed Out for Setting Boundaries

A large portion of Alizeh’s exposé focused on how the industry punishes women who stand up for themselves. She said that actors often receive delayed payments and are disrespected on set. “We get cheques after three months — that too, only after repeatedly begging for them,” she shared.

Her refusal to stay silent led to blacklisting. “Pages were paid to troll me. Directors invited me to meetings only to talk about my image, saying they’d heard rumors,” she said. Even basic requests, such as having a private room due to her smoking habit, were twisted to paint her as unprofessional.

She said her real offense was creating boundaries in a space that expects blind obedience. “If you don’t let them control you, they label you as difficult,” she explained.

A System Built to Break You

Alizeh’s emotional video stories painted a grim picture of Pakistan’s entertainment industry — a system that thrives on silencing women. “I stayed quiet for too long,” she said. “But now, I’ve had enough.”

In speaking up, Alizeh Shah joins a growing chorus of voices calling for accountability and change in the media industry
