Sheriff Michelle Cook held a press conference, confirming that dispatchers received a call from the boy, who calmly stated, “I just killed my parents.” Authorities say the teenager provided detailed instructions about where to find the bodies and informed officers that he had walked over a mile to a local church, where he would wait to be arrested.
Deputies responded to both locations. Upon reaching the residence, law enforcement officers discovered the lifeless bodies of 44-year-old David Lee and 45-year-old Brandi Smith. Shortly afterward, deputies arrived at the church and took the teen into custody without resistance.
