Israel kills 17 Palestinians in Gaza since dawn in a series of strikes that have intensified violence in the besieged enclave. Ambulance crews confirmed that three people were killed in shelling in the Abu Iskandar and Jabalia areas, north of Gaza City. The attacks, which began early Tuesday, add to the growing toll of civilian deaths amid the ongoing conflict.

Health authorities in Gaza warned that the situation remains critical as bombardments continue in densely populated neighborhoods. Emergency workers struggle to reach affected areas due to damaged roads and the constant threat of renewed strikes.

Israeli Forces Issue Demolition Orders in West Bank

While bombardments hit Gaza, Israeli forces extended operations in the occupied West Bank. Local sources reported that soldiers delivered demolition orders against several Palestinian homes in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.

Residents said the orders threaten to displace entire families, further fueling anger in the area. Rights groups have repeatedly criticized such demolitions as collective punishment in violation of international law.

Shooting During Tammun Raid

Tensions also escalated in Tammun, a town in the northern West Bank. On Monday evening, Israeli forces opened fire during a raid, injuring five members of a Palestinian family. The Palestine Red Crescent confirmed that soldiers also shot at an ambulance that had rushed to the scene.

Later, the Israeli military and police issued a joint statement claiming their forces targeted a Palestinian man “involved in terrorist activities.” The statement said the man was shot while resisting arrest, adding: “The security forces will continue to operate to thwart terrorism and enforce the law against any terrorist who attempts to harm Israeli civilians.”

Palestinian officials condemned the raid, calling it part of a wider campaign of repression in the West Bank.

Civilian Casualties Mount

The latest attacks add to the spiraling civilian toll in Gaza and the West Bank. Humanitarian agencies have warned that the scale of destruction, combined with shortages of food, medicine, and shelter, risks creating a full-blown humanitarian collapse.

Residents in northern Gaza described scenes of chaos as shelling struck residential areas. “The sound of explosions has not stopped since dawn,” one resident told reporters. “We are afraid to move, and ambulances cannot reach many of the wounded.”

International Concern Grows

The renewed violence has drawn concern from international observers, who fear the conflict is worsening without prospects for a ceasefire. Calls for restraint have been issued by aid organizations, who stress that civilians must not be targeted in any military operations.

Despite repeated appeals, both Gaza and the West Bank continue to face heavy Israeli military activity, leaving Palestinians trapped between bombardment and occupation measures.

A Cycle of Escalation

The killing of 17 Palestinians in Gaza since dawn underscores the relentless cycle of violence that has defined the region for decades. With Israeli forces carrying out airstrikes in Gaza, demolitions in the West Bank, and armed raids on towns like Tammun, Palestinian communities remain under constant threat.

As families bury their dead and brace for more raids, the question of accountability and the protection of civilians remains unresolved, deepening mistrust and prolonging the conflict.
