The winning numbers for Saturday’s Powerball jackpot, estimated at a record-breaking $1.8 billion—were drawn as 11, 23, 44, 61, 62, with a Powerball of 17. The grand prize, carrying a staggering cash value of $826.4 million, ranks as the second-largest in the game’s 33-year history.
No Word Yet on Jackpot Winner
It was not immediately clear if any ticket matched all six numbers to claim the massive prize. The jackpot soared after no one secured Wednesday night’s $1.4 billion prize, fueling record sales in the days leading up to the drawing.
Powerball confirmed that Saturday’s jackpot ranks among the top six prizes to ever cross the $1 billion threshold. The largest in history remains the $2.04 billion jackpot, won by a single ticket sold in Altadena, California, in November 2022.

“Every ticket bought helps support good causes in local communities,” said Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group Chair and Iowa Lottery CEO. “We encourage everyone to play responsibly.”
Record Jackpots Driving Nationwide Frenzy
The growing jackpot has sparked a surge of interest nationwide, with lines forming at convenience stores and online ticket sales spiking ahead of the Saturday draw. In April 2024, a $1.326 billion prize in Oregon set a benchmark that has now been surpassed.
If claimed, a single jackpot winner would have two options: a lump-sum payment of $826.4 million before taxes, or an annuity with 30 payments over 29 years, each increasing by 5%.
Despite the excitement, the odds of securing the top prize remain steep—just 1 in 292.2 million. Yet, millions of players continue to try their luck, enticed by the life-changing potential of even a single winning ticket.
Four Wins in 2025 So Far
So far this year, Powerball’s jackpot has been hit four times, with the most recent win on May 31. On that day, a California ticket claimed a $204.5 million prize with a cash value of $91.6 million.
In total, there have now been six jackpots in Powerball history surpassing $1 billion, making it one of the most closely watched lotteries worldwide. The game, which began in 1992, continues to capture the imagination of players in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Tickets cost $2 each, and drawings are held three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 11 p.m. ET.
With no confirmed winner as of Saturday night, lottery officials and eager ticket-holders alike await the outcome that could crown the latest billionaire. Whether the $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot is claimed by a single lucky ticket or rolls over to an even larger prize, this record run has already secured its place in U.S. lottery history.
