Karachi International Book & EdTech Fair 2026 Set for May

The Karachi International Book & EdTech Fair 2026 is set to redefine Pakistan’s educational landscape as a landmark, multi-dimensional event that brings books, technology, innovation, and global knowledge under one roof. Scheduled to take place from May 1 to May 3, 2026, at the Karachi Expo Center, the three-day fair aims to connect Pakistan’s education ecosystem with international academic and technological networks in an unprecedented way.

Unlike traditional book fairs, this event positions itself as a comprehensive platform that integrates publishing, digital learning, research, creativity, and future technologies. Organizers describe it as a forward-looking initiative designed to bridge the gap between conventional education systems and rapidly evolving global learning trends.

Leading Pakistani institutions specializing in children’s publishing and educational technology have confirmed their participation in the Karachi International Book & EdTech Fair 2026. Among them, AZOCRP Entertainment has announced an official partnership, reflecting growing interest from the private education sector.

During a recent visit to the KIBTF secretariat, CEO Imran Azhar, along with Dr. Saad bin Aziz and Mr. Ali Chishti, held detailed discussions on proposed seminars, conferences, and knowledge-sharing sessions. These discussions focused on aligning Pakistan’s publishing industry with modern digital tools and global educational practices.

The National Book Foundation (NBF) has also extended full support to the fair. Mr. Fayyaz, Regional Head Sindh, met Dr. Saad bin Aziz at the NBF Karachi office to finalize plans for youth-centered creative, intellectual, and educational activities that will run throughout the event.

Political, Social, and Intellectual Backing

The fair has received notable political and social endorsement, strengthening its national importance. Former Member of the National Assembly and ex-Provincial Minister of Balochistan, Jan Achakzai, visited the KIBTF secretariat and pledged full political and social support for the initiative.

In recognition of his contributions to education, journalism, and public service, organizers have appointed Jan Achakzai as the Political Ambassador of KIBTF 2026. His role will focus on promoting educational dialogue and policy-level engagement around books, literacy, and technology.

Educational institutions across Sindh have shown exceptional enthusiasm for the Karachi International Book & EdTech Fair 2026. The Karachi Federation of Private Schools has confirmed active participation, while Greenwich University Karachi, Dawood Public School (Dawood Foundation), and several other leading school networks have assured full collaboration.

Historic Collaboration with Teacher Associations

For the first time in Pakistan’s book fair history, SPELT, the country’s renowned English language teachers’ organization, has formally partnered with KIBTF 2026. SPELT’s leadership will play a key role in teacher training programs, professional development workshops, and educational conferences during the event.

This collaboration will bring experienced educators from across Pakistan onto a single platform, fostering dialogue on modern teaching methods, curriculum development, and digital learning tools.

Youth, Innovation, and Technology at the Core

The National Incubation Center (NIC) has joined the fair as a strategic partner, opening new opportunities for EdTech startups, young innovators, and technology-driven education initiatives. This partnership highlights the fair’s strong emphasis on innovation, entrepreneurship, and future-ready skills.

By integrating education with technology and startups, the event aims to empower youth and encourage practical solutions for Pakistan’s learning challenges.

International Publishing

To strengthen global publishing ties, organizers have appointed Shiraz Nagani as the Global Publishing Development Ambassador. His role focuses on ensuring international publisher participation and expanding cross-border literary collaboration.

A major attraction of the Karachi International Book & EdTech Fair 2026 will be the presence of renowned South Asian author Chetan Bhagat. He will lead a special session discussing the future of reading in the digital age, youth intellectual development, and the role of books and educational technology in shaping national discourse.
