  1. Karachi: The entire country commemorates the devastating terrorist attack on the innocent lives at Peshawar school, Army Public School, that took 147 lives of children including staff

The sixth anniversary of the attack reminded people from every part of Pakistan, candles were lit in memory of the students who were brutally put to sleep on 16 December 2014.

On Tuesday night, families of the victims observed a vigil at Army Public School (APS) both inside and outside as Pak Youth Parliament organized the event.

On the other hand, many people took to social media to recall the incident including politicians, ministers, celebrities, and paid homage to their slain students’ parents and families of the teachers.

the Prime Minister of Pakistan reminisced the whole event saying, “we were able to defeat” the enemies of Pakistan.

President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi while remembering the gruesome attack said, “These flowers laid their lives & brought the focus of the nation to suppress terrorism with all its might. I thank them”.

The president was speaking at the event at the hospital.

Khan also tweeted, “Today, six years ago, the nation was shocked & grieved by the extreme act of terrorism against children & teachers of APS; & the nation came together with a resolve to take on those responsible.”

“We remain determined & are moving forward in fulfilling this commitment to the nation,” added he

“Deeply saddened by terrorist attack on madrassah in Peshawar. My condolences go to the victim’s families & prayers for early recovery of the injured. I want to assure my nation we will ensure the terrorists responsible for this cowardly barbaric attack are brought to justice asap” – Imran Khan

Shireen Mazari, Human Rights Minister, also said that the incident that took place in Peshawar is imprinted on everyone’s mind and is unforgettable. She continued and sworn to, “fight against the extremist mindset that feeds the hate and violence of terrorism”.

PML-N leader, Maryam Nawaz also called the occasion “heart-rending” and said that it is the day when the future of this nation was stolen.

Pakistani renowned celebrity also quoted in his tweet, “Pakistan hasn’t forgotten the morning of Dec 16 when 132 bright stars were plunged into darkness by terrorists. Peace be upon them. Prayers for the families”.
