EFP to hold 8th “Employer of the Year Award 2019-20”

KARACHI: Employers’ Federation of Pakistan (EFP), is holding its well sought and prestigious event “Employer of the Year Award 2019-20” for the 8th year on March 16, 2021, at Karachi.

This event provides a platform and an opportunity to recognize companies that have created a stimulating and supportive work environment that fosters employee engagement, resulting in the most productive and rewarding working environment possible.

“It will also provide an opportunity to the winners to present their success stories and measures taken to meet the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and its implication on business and economic sustainability and employment”. This was informed by Zaki Ahmed Khan, Vice President & Focal Person of EFP in a press statement.

Zaki Ahmed Khan disclosed that this year, there would be nine contest areas such as corporate & general management, human resource management & employment practices, labor laws & core ILS compliance, working conditions-health and safety at work, corporate social responsibility, training & skill development initiatives, compliance with social protection floors, strategic alignment with SDGs, women empowerment & response to COVID-19 challenge.

Moreover, he disclosed that a Committee of high reputed professionals has been constituted for evaluating the contestants most transparently and that the representatives of the committee will visit the contesting companies for fact-finding and verification of the information & documents.

He said that International Labour Organization is the strategic partner and besides the award ceremony, there would be two business sessions where focused group discussions would be held by reputed and professional panelists on the importance of the adverse effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the business enterprises. Amid the pandemic, the resilience demonstrated by the organizations in combating the challenge.

EFP VP further added that this event would provide a unique opportunity to professionals, industrialists, and students to experience value-added latest knowledge of the highest excellence from leading professionals.
