Pakistan’s famous cleric Maulana Tariq Jameel is launching a clothing brand and has released an explanatory video message from his Twitter account.
In a video message, Maulana Tariq Jameel explained the reason for the brand’s foundation, saying, “It has been in my heart since 2000.”
“It occurred to me that Allah would make such a chain so that the madrassas that I have would stand on their own feet.”

He said, “I used to think that Allah would make such a form so that Zakat would not be spent and the madrassa would run without Zakat.”
Maulana Tariq Jameel said, “When Corona came, Allah put in my heart that we should do some business so that we can invest the earnings in Islamic institutions.”
“which is why I intend to have a business and use that money to run madrassas,” he said.
“some of my friends also collaborated with me” he mentioned, “for this reason, I started a brand with my name, MTJ”.
In our subcontinent, it is viewed as a sin for scholars to do business,”
“Even though there was no greater cloth merchant than Imam Abu Hanifa,” he added.
He also mentioned that “I have not started this for business purposes, neither do I want to compare this brand with any other.”
Cleric added, “this is only for the sake of Allah so that at least my madrassas would stand on their own feet.”
