India’s opposition leader, Rahul Gandhi is all set to lead Congress Party into the ‘Unite India Rally’ to raise their voices against ‘the hate and division’ technique that their counterparts Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) use.

The Unite India Rally is a cross-country rally that began in September in the Kanyakumari areas of India. The United India Rally aims to cover more than 3500 kilometers to reach Srinagar in approximately 150 days.

Gandhi’s mother, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, party leader Priyanka Gandhi and her husband Robert Vadra joined Saturday’s march.

BJP won the previous elections against the Congress Party in 2019 when Rahul Gandhi was the president of the Congress party. However, after facing defeat in the elections, he stepped down from the presidency of the party.

Now Congress party is trying again to win the public’s favor for the 2024 elections.

Currently, the March head reached New Delhi where it will stay for a couple of days before embarking on the next destination.

So far, the rally has received a good public response as more than 1000 people joined the rally.
