During talks with the IMF to avert bankruptcy, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited parliamentarians to a conference, including the head of the opposition Imran Khan.

According to Pakistan Television, Sharif has scheduled an all-parties meeting on February 7 due to the country’s economic and terrorism-related problems. In order to relaunch its lending programme, a team from the lender is currently in Pakistan through February 9.

Khan was removed as prime minister by Sharif’s coalition government last year during a vote of confidence. Khan has been calling for elections to be held sooner rather than later, after August.
