Independent MP Rajesh Ranjan, widely known as Pappu Yadav, requested the Bihar Chief Minister and Union Home Ministry on Tuesday to withdraw his security cover. In a bold statement, Yadav declared he no longer wishes for any protection, even submitting a formal request to the Bihar government.

He shared his unwavering dedication to his public service mission, asserting, “Whoever wants to kill, come and kill me…but I will not step back from the path of truth.” Yadav’s decision, he said, stems from his commitment to serve without fear, regardless of risks.

Yadav’s stance comes shortly after receiving a death threat reportedly from a member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to sources, the call came from Malaysia, causing a stir over Yadav’s security concerns.

Responding to the threat, Yadav invoked an old saying, “elephants walk in the market, thousands of dogs bark,” signaling his determination to ignore such threats. “Threats come and go,” he remarked, “but my focus remains on serving the people.”

Allegations Against Bihar CM’s Associates

In his statement, Yadav took a pointed jab at those close to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging they are involved in land mafia activities and exploit local resources. He accused these individuals of looting and manipulating for personal gain.

He noted that while Kumar might be willing to meet him, certain associates allegedly hinder these interactions for their own vested interests. “They don’t want the CM to meet me because they have something to hide,” Yadav claimed, implying his work threatens corrupt practices.

A Mission to Serve the People

Yadav emphasized his commitment to his role and responsibilities as a public servant. “I will work on the responsibility given to me for the common people in and outside the House,” he said. Declaring the people of India as ‘god’ to him, Yadav pledged to serve them until his last breath.

Focus on Jharkhand Assembly Elections

Yadav also mentioned his current focus on the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections. Describing it as a battle for self-respect, he underscored his aim to protect Jharkhand’s resources from exploitation by external forces.

The Independent MP further accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of looting Jharkhand’s resources during its previous rule. He expressed strong commitment to countering such influence, vowing to protect the state’s interests.
