Traders Cite Supply and Seasonal Concerns
Poultry traders attribute the price hike to supply issues and preparations for anticipated colder weather. “The increase is largely driven by supply problems and expectations of rising demand during the winter,” said a trader from Karachi’s main poultry market.
Public Frustration Over Lack of Price Control
The unchecked rise in prices has left citizens frustrated. Many questioned the absence of effective price regulation. “Where are the price controllers? Every week, essential items become more expensive without explanation,” complained a resident of Saddar.
Shopkeepers warned that if the weather turns colder, prices might escalate further. Buyers are bracing for more financial strain in the weeks ahead.
