Islamabad: MOL Group celebrated its 25th anniversary of operations in Pakistan with a gala dinner in Islamabad. Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Kareem Kundi, and Syed Naveed Qamar attended the event. The gathering highlighted MOL Group’s significant contributions to Pakistan’s energy sector, particularly in hydrocarbon exploration and production.

Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan addressed the event as the chief guest. He congratulated MOL Group and its leadership, including representatives from Hungary, for their professionalism and commitment since entering Pakistan in 1999. He acknowledged the group’s pivotal role as the operator of the Tal Block in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one of the country’s largest hydrocarbon-producing regions.
The Minister reflected on his collaboration with MOL Group during his tenure as Minister of State for Petroleum. He highlighted their joint efforts to facilitate gas provision and exploration activities. “MOL Group has set a high standard in using advanced technologies, adhering to international best practices, and ensuring safety. These efforts have significantly transformed Pakistan’s oil and gas sector,” he said.

Minister Jam Kamal emphasized Pakistan’s untapped potential in hydrocarbon exploration. He pointed to opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and offshore waters. He urged global investors to explore these opportunities and assured them of a stable regulatory framework and a business-friendly environment.
“Pakistan is on a path to stability and development, and the energy sector is a key driver of this progress,” he stated. He added that MOL Group’s 25-year legacy exemplifies mutual trust and shared aspirations between Pakistan and its international partners.
