Beyoncé made history at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards by winning her first-ever Album of the Year award for Cowboy Carter. The victory marked a milestone in her legendary career, but after the ceremony, she admitted to forgetting to thank someone important—her youngest daughter, Rumi Carter.

Beyoncé’s Emotional Grammy Moment

On February 2, the Single Ladies singer accepted the Album of the Year award, a long-awaited achievement after years of nominations. She delivered a heartfelt speech about hard work, growth, and breaking barriers.

“It’s surreal,” Beyoncé shared in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve been working hard for 25 years, always striving to grow and open doors for others.”

A Special Moment with Blue Ivy

During the ceremony, Beyoncé stood on stage with her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, who proudly supported her mother’s historic win. The singer expressed how much it meant to share the moment with her daughter.

“I was so honored, and I’m happy my daughter got to witness it,” Beyoncé said. “She’s taller than me now, and I don’t like it at all!” she joked.

Realizing She Forgot to Thank Rumi

While reflecting on the night, Beyoncé suddenly realized she had forgotten to mention her youngest daughter, Rumi Carter. The six-year-old was featured in the song Protection from Cowboy Carter.

“Rumi, who was on the album, was watching,” Beyoncé said. “I forgot to thank her, so I’m thanking her now—thank you, Rumi!”

A Family Celebration

Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who married in 2008, share three children: Blue Ivy, and twins Sir and Rumi Carter. The family has been deeply involved in Beyoncé’s musical journey, with Blue Ivy even performing alongside her mother in the past.

This Grammy win cements Beyoncé’s legacy as a record-breaking artist, proving once again why she remains one of the most influential figures in music.
