Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Pakistan on Thursday. His visit was part of his three-nation Asia tour. He met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. Erdogan gifted PM Shehbaz a model of Turkey’s homegrown electric vehicle, Togg.

The T10X model SUV was presented during their meeting. The green-colored car represents Turkey’s lush Ayder highlands in Erdogan’s hometown of Rize.

Both leaders stood beside the vehicle for a photo. They had a brief discussion before capturing the moment. The gift symbolized growing ties between Turkey and Pakistan.

Shehbaz Takes Erdogan for a Test Drive


In a symbolic act, Erdogan joined Shehbaz in the passenger seat. PM Shehbaz took the electric SUV for a short drive. Cameras captured the moment, highlighting the strong bond between the two nations.

Pakistan was the last stop of Erdogan’s Asia tour. Earlier, he visited Malaysia and Indonesia. He presented the same Togg SUV to Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

Strengthening Pakistan-Turkey Relations

The visit reinforced diplomatic and economic ties. Erdogan’s gesture showed Turkey’s commitment to strong relations with Pakistan. The leaders discussed various matters of mutual interest.

Erdogan’s visit ended with a message of unity and cooperation. The Togg SUV symbolized Turkey’s technological progress and friendship with Pakistan.
