Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent Israeli attacks on Iran, calling them a direct threat to regional and global peace. During an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, delivered a firm statement demanding immediate action.
Grave Threat to Global Stability
Ambassador Ahmad warned that Israel’s military strikes on Iran pose a grave danger. He described the escalation as a serious threat not just to the Middle East but to international security as a whole. “The situation risks spiraling out of control,” he told the Council. “It demands urgent and collective action.”
UN Must Act Now
The ambassador urged the Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities. He called on the Council to unequivocally condemn Israel’s actions and to take concrete steps to stop further aggression. “The Council must play its part in ending hostilities and pushing for a comprehensive ceasefire,” he said.

Call for Dialogue and Diplomacy
Stressing Pakistan’s commitment to peace, Ahmad emphasized the importance of diplomacy over confrontation. “Dialogue remains the only viable path forward,” he said. “All parties must return to the table and commit to a peaceful resolution.”

Pakistan’s envoy highlighted the far-reaching consequences of continued conflict. He warned that instability in one part of the region can quickly engulf others, making global peace efforts more difficult. “This is no longer a bilateral issue—it’s a threat to collective peace,” Ahmad stated.

Pakistan reaffirmed its longstanding support for peaceful conflict resolution through international cooperation. Ahmad reiterated the importance of upholding international law and ensuring that diplomatic channels remain open, even during heightened tensions.
