The Flyadeal flights expansion has strengthened air connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The low-cost Saudi airline launched new services to Peshawar and Islamabad, offering more options for travelers and enhancing bilateral ties.
Flyadeal Strengthens Presence in Pakistan
Flyadeal, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier Saudia Airlines, has taken another major step into Pakistan’s aviation market. After beginning its operations earlier this year with Karachi flights, the airline has now added two more destinations—Peshawar and Islamabad.
This move reflects growing air travel demand between the two countries, driven by tourism, labor migration, and religious travel. It also highlights Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to expand regional connectivity as part of its Vision 2030 strategy.
Inaugural Flights to Islamabad and Peshawar
The airline marked its Islamabad launch on Sunday with a flight from Riyadh carrying 65 passengers. The return flight to Riyadh was almost full, leaving with 172 passengers. This showed strong initial demand for the route.
A day later, on Monday, Flyadeal launched its inaugural flight to Peshawar. The aircraft landed at Bacha Khan International Airport, receiving a warm welcome from local authorities.
According to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), these routes are designed to strengthen connectivity, provide more convenience to passengers, and create greater exchange between the two nations.
Scheduled Weekly Flights
Flyadeal will now operate two weekly flights from Riyadh to Peshawar. These will run every Monday and Wednesday. For Islamabad, a weekly flight has been scheduled every Sunday.
This consistent schedule ensures regular and affordable options for Pakistani passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia for work, tourism, or religious obligations. Similarly, Saudi citizens and expatriates gain easier access to Pakistan’s northern and central regions.
Boost to Pakistan-Saudi Aviation Links
The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) praised Flyadeal’s entry into new cities. It said the airline’s expansion would not only enhance connectivity but also bring significant benefits to passengers. Lower-cost options mean more affordability for families, students, and workers who frequently travel between the two countries.
Officials further highlighted that expanding air routes helps strengthen bilateral ties. Both countries share deep political, cultural, and economic relations. Direct flights ensure that travel between them remains smooth and accessible.
Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 Connection
Flyadeal’s growth in Pakistan also ties into Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative. The Kingdom is working to diversify its economy by investing heavily in tourism. The goal is to attract 150 million domestic and international visitors annually by 2030.

New flight connections are essential to achieving this vision. Pakistan, with its large population and millions of overseas workers in Saudi Arabia, is a natural focus for this expansion. Easier and affordable travel encourages more Pakistanis to visit Saudi Arabia not only for work but also for tourism and religious pilgrimages.
Pakistan’s Strong Travel Market
Pakistan represents a vital travel market for airlines operating in the region. Every year, thousands of Pakistanis visit Saudi Arabia for Umrah, Hajj, and tourism. Additionally, over 2.5 million Pakistanis reside in the Kingdom as part of its workforce.
This expatriate community ensures steady travel demand, as many frequently visit their families back home. Airlines offering affordable options attract strong loyalty from this large group of passengers. Flyadeal’s entry provides competition in the low-cost sector, giving travelers more choice and flexibility.
Passenger Convenience at the Center
Flyadeal’s service model focuses on affordability and convenience. By offering low-cost fares with flexible scheduling, the airline aims to ease the financial burden of frequent travel. For families separated between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, this comes as a significant relief.
The airline also ensures quick booking and transparent pricing, avoiding unnecessary complexities for passengers. With direct flights from Riyadh to two new Pakistani cities, travelers save both time and costs.
Expanding Opportunities for Regional Tourism
The airline’s new connections open opportunities beyond work and religious travel. Tourism in both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia stands to benefit. Pakistani tourists can access Saudi Arabia’s growing attractions, including cultural festivals, heritage sites, and entertainment hubs.
At the same time, Saudi travelers gain direct routes to Pakistan’s capital and the northwestern region. Islamabad offers cultural landmarks and natural beauty, while Peshawar provides access to historic markets and mountain routes. These exchanges promote stronger cultural understanding and regional integration.
Future Expansion Potential
Industry observers believe Flyadeal may expand further in Pakistan in the coming years. With Lahore, Multan, and Quetta as potential destinations, the airline has opportunities to cover Pakistan’s major population hubs. Each expansion would strengthen its position in the competitive aviation market.
For now, the focus remains on building stable operations in Peshawar and Islamabad. The airline aims to provide reliable service and establish long-term trust with passengers.
A Step Toward Greater Connectivity
The launch of Flyadeal flights to Islamabad and Peshawar is more than just a business expansion. It represents growing cooperation, people-to-people exchange, and a stronger partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
With low-cost, direct flights now linking Riyadh with key Pakistani cities, thousands of families, workers, and tourists gain easier access to both countries. As travel demand grows, Flyadeal’s presence will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of regional air connectivity.
