Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has warned that any hostile design against Pakistan will face an even stronger and more precise response than what the adversary witnessed during “Marka-i-Haq”, as the military marked the first anniversary of the 2025 conflict with India and reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a statement issued late Wednesday night, the media wing of Pakistan’s armed forces, Inter-Services Public Relations, said the country remained fully prepared to defend its sovereignty against any hostile designs.
The statement marked the first anniversary of the military escalation between Pakistan and India that began after the April 22 Pahalgam attack and ended with a ceasefire on May 10 following Pakistan’s Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
ISPR Highlights PAF Modernisation
The military’s statement praised the role of the Pakistan Air Force during the conflict and described the operation as a defining moment in Pakistan’s military history.
According to ISPR, the PAF demonstrated operational excellence through advanced warfare strategies and the use of modern technologies. The military said the conflict strengthened national confidence and reaffirmed institutional resolve.

The statement added that the PAF had transformed itself into a “future-ready air power” through the induction of cutting-edge systems and rapid operational deployment of modern technologies.
It further said the air force had mastered multi-domain operations and remained fully capable of protecting Pakistan’s territorial integrity amid changing warfare dynamics.
‘Peace Linked With Honour and Sovereignty’
The military stressed that Pakistan remained a peace-loving country and said its armed forces followed a mature and responsible strategic approach.
ISPR stated that all military preparations and efforts were aimed at preserving peace, ensuring regional stability, and maintaining national security.
“Peace for Pakistan has always been inseparable from honour, dignity and sovereign equality,” the statement said.
The military also acknowledged the changing geopolitical and regional security situation and referred to the growing military capabilities of rival forces in the region.
However, it maintained that Pakistan’s armed forces continued to strengthen their preparedness through investments in advanced technologies, critical defence systems, and professional training.
Warning Against Future Aggression
In one of the strongest parts of the statement, ISPR warned that Pakistan stood ready to respond decisively to any future aggression.
“Any hostile design against Pakistan will be countered with even greater strength, precision and resolve far stronger than what was witnessed by the adversary during Marka-i-Haq,” the military said.
The statement also praised PAF personnel for their professionalism, sacrifices, and operational focus during the conflict.
ISPR concluded by calling the PAF a symbol of pride, strength, and confidence for the Pakistani nation.
PAF Chief Says Success Was Not Achieved Overnight
Separately, Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu addressed a ceremony held to commemorate Marka-i-Haq and reflected on the events that led to the conflict.
The air chief said India blamed Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident without presenting evidence and adopted what he described as “immature and hasty measures” that increased tensions in the region.
He said the operational success achieved by the PAF during the May 2025 conflict was the result of years of planning, modernization, and professional development.
“What the world witnessed in May 2025 was not achieved overnight,” he said while highlighting the force’s continued focus on preparedness and technological advancement.
Regional Tensions Remain Sensitive
The latest statement comes as tensions between Pakistan and India continue to remain sensitive following last year’s military standoff.
Security analysts believe both countries are closely monitoring each other’s military developments, especially in the areas of air power, missile systems, and electronic warfare capabilities.
Pakistan’s military leadership has repeatedly stated that while the country seeks peace and regional stability, it will respond strongly to any threat against its sovereignty.
