China is witnessing a severity in Covid cases but as China has abandoned the zero covid policy, therefore the Chinese government is not showing and reporting new covid infections.
This decision to scrape off zero covid policy has received a lot of scrutiny from the International community. However, China made this decision because the people wanted a normal lifestyle without immense restrictions.
But events suggest that covid infections are rising in China at a rapid pace. The virus remains unchecked and funerals have reported a spike in demand for their services. Moreover, International health experts predict that there will be at least 1 million deaths in China if the virus keeps spreading at this pace.
