PM Shehbaz, Erdogan, Aliyev Share Warm Moments in Khankendi

During the ECO Summit in Khankendi, Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev engaged in a friendly and symbolic walk that highlighted the growing regional ties among the three nations.

Leaders Display Fraternal Unity

After the summit concluded, the three leaders took a stroll together through Khankendi, exchanging warm conversations and gestures of solidarity. President Ilham Aliyev personally guided Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Erdogan, sharing insights about the city’s rich history and cultural heritage. The informal meeting was described by the PM Office as a “pleasant and cordial exchange.”

The leaders held hands during the walk, symbolizing the deep-rooted brotherhood among Pakistan, Turkiye, and Azerbaijan. The moment reflected shared values and increasing cooperation in regional development and diplomacy. Later, President Aliyev personally drove PM Shehbaz to Shusha, where he hosted a special luncheon in his honor.

PM Applauds Young Squash Champions

Separately, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the achievements of young Pakistani squash players who made the nation proud in the Asian Junior Squash Championship. He congratulated Nauman Khan for winning gold in the Under-15 category and Sohail Adnan for securing gold in the Under-13 event. He also praised Ahmad Rayan Khalil and Mahnoor Ali for earning silver medals in their respective categories.
