Sunita Marshall, Hassan Ahmad’s children’s religion

Sunita Marshall, a Pakistani supermodel, and actor Hassan Ahmad, a lovely showbiz duo of varied religious roots, announced that their children are Muslims.

Sunita Marshall, a Christian, and Hassan Ahmad, a Muslim, have been married for over a decade, and their fans love them both on and off-screen.

Ahsan Khan entertained the star couple on his show Time Out with Ahsan Khan the other day. The couple spoke openly about their relationship, engagement, and future plans.

Since Ahmed and Marshall come from separate worlds, they are unlikely to get along. Ahsan Khan, who is Muslim and Sunita is Christian, raised the most important question about their children’s religion.

The Mushq actor mentioned that it is difficult for children to grasp the nuances of multiple faiths, but that their children are Muslim. “Our children are 100 percent Muslim, but we don’t exclude them from participating in other celebrations. They celebrate Christmas the same way my family does,” the 35-year-old model announced.

“My family still had problems with my relationship,” the 38-year-old actor said, commenting on their differences. My dad, on the other hand, has always been a strong supporter of mine. My mum, who is religious, was worried about our future, the children, and so much more…”

When asked about religious differences in their home, the pair admitted that, contrary to popular belief, they do have several problems.

“For example, around Christmas, we decorate the tree and have a certain spot in the house,” Ahmed explained, “but my family disagrees to even have that in our home.”

He continued, “at Christmastime, we decorate the tree and have a designated location in the house,” Ahmed said, “but my family is opposed to doing it in our home.”

Marshall married Hassan Ahmed in 2009, first in an Islamic ceremony and later in a Catholic ceremony. Raakin Ahmed, a son, and Zynah Ahmed, a girl, are the couple’s twins.

Here is the show in which the beautiful duo.

World Water Day 2021: Valuing Water

Every year on March 22nd, World Water Day is commemorated to raise awareness about the importance of water to the whole world. The day also stresses the need for all countries to increase access to water, sanitation, and hygiene services.

However, as the world’s population grows, so does the demand to tap more and more resources, resulting in the overuse and depletion of all-natural resources. As a result, people all over the world are experiencing severe water shortages today.

Therefore, on March 22nd world water day is observed worldwide to save water and raise awareness this year was no exception.

We can’t convey the importance of water in a few sentences. Water is perhaps the most important thing for our survival on this planet.

Water supplies, on the other hand, are declining in many nations, including Pakistan. People in certain places often have a strong need for safe, drinkable water.

However, in places where there is a plentiful amount of water, people misuse it for no particular cause. People must be informed about the importance of water in today’s world, as water shortage is causing more environmental concerns.

“The World Water Day honors water and increases awareness of the global water crisis,” according to the UN’s official website, “and a central aim of the observance is to help the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: water and sanitation for everyone by 2030.”

The theme for World Water Day 2021

Yearly, World Water Day is paired with a theme. This theme sheds light on a variety of issues concerning the cause. The theme for World Water Day 2021 is “valuing water,” which stresses the importance of water protection and the value of water.

“The value of water is about much more than its price – water has enormous and complex value for our households, food, culture, health, education, economics, and the integrity of our natural environment. If we overlook any of these values, we risk mismanaging this finite, irreplaceable resource,” says the UN website.

Why is World Water Day celebrated?

Every year on March 22nd, the world commemorates World Water Day to raise awareness about the global water crisis. Furthermore, World Water Day emphasizes the need for improved access to water, sanitation, and hygiene services in all nations.

The city is also witnessing a lot of rain around Sydney and east Queensland, rivers, and lakes have overflowed.

Officials said that 15,000 residents have been evacuated from the state’s Mid-North Coast and another 3,000 have been evacuated from Sydney, according to the international news agency.

On Monday, over 150 schools were closed due to river closures that cut off roads and bridges.

The Hawkesbury and Nepean rivers, which flank Sydney to the north and west, reportedly hit higher heights on Monday, according to reports. The Hawkesbury River could reach a height of about 13m (42ft) later in the day, according to forecasters.

In addition, Sydney’s largest water reservoir, Warragamba Dam, has overflowed for the first time in five years. Authorities estimated that it was releasing 500 gigalitres of water per day, which is equal to the depth of Sydney Harbour.

Officials have encouraged citizens to exercise caution. According to reports, the “once-in-a-50-year phenomenon” could last all week.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has decided to support those who were forced to leave the region. “It’s another trying moment for our country,” he told a radio station.

Some of the areas “being devastated by the floods,” according to NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, had been impacted by bushfires and drought the previous year.

“I don’t believe we’ve ever seen these severe weather events in such rapid succession in the midst of a pandemic,” she added.

“I will close the company”, Elon Musk

Elon Musk, the owner of the American electric car maker Tesla, has said he will “shut down” his company if it is proved that his company’s cars were used to spy on China.

Elon Musk’s statement came in response to reports that the Chinese military has banned Tesla at all its stations.

The Chinese military had expressed security concerns after data collection on cameras installed in the cars.

Looking at the company’s quarterly sales last year, China is the second-largest market for Tesla cars after the United States.

On Saturday, Elon Musk said that if a business was hired to spy on foreign governments, it could have a very negative effect on the company.

“Keeping any information confidential has many benefits for us,” Elon Musk told an influential Chinese business forum via video link.

“If Tesla’s cars are used for espionage in China or elsewhere, we will close the company,” he said.

For a long time, Chinese and American trading companies have faced many problems while working in each other’s countries.

The relations between China and the United States, for the past several years, the world’s two largest economies, have been strained.

The first high-level face-to-face meeting with Chinese President Joe Biden’s administration earlier this week also included harsh words.

Elon Musk has stressed the need to create a climate of greater trust between China and the United States.

Citing Chinese video platform TikTok, he demanded that companies not be allowed to raise concerns that they are spying on their governments.

Last year, former US President Donald Trump hinted at a ban on TikTok based on concerns that the company could share data with the Chinese government.

First lady Bushra Bibi also contracts Covid-19

Shortly after hours, Prime Minister Imran Khan was diagnosed with a new coronavirus, First Lady Bushra Bibi tested positive for Covid-19.

Special Assistant to the PM for Overseas Pakistanis Sayed Zulfikar Bukhari took to Twitter and wrote on his official Twitter account, “wishing our First Lady and PM Imran Khan a speedy recovery. May Allah give them both Shifa (health).”

Vaccines, he added, are healthy and must be taken. “Prime Minister Imran had his first shot just a day ago before which he was already revealed,” Bukhari said, advising people to get vaccinated and ignore false news.

Dr. Faisal Sultan, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on National Health Care, stated earlier that the premier had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

PM Imran was vaccinated against the virus two days prior to the announcement. He had, though, just received the first dose of the vaccine and not the second. Dr. Sultan went on to say that the prime minister is now isolating himself at home.

The Premier was “not completely vaccinated” when he contracted the disease, according to the Ministry of National Health Services. Only the first dose was given, according to the ministry, which is “too soon for any vaccine to become safe.”

Antibodies against the virus produce 2-3 weeks after the second dose of the vaccine is given, according to the study.

PM Khan contracts Coronavirus, Modi sends best wishes

Indian Prime Minister after coming to know that his Pakistani counterpart, Imran Khan, has contracted the covid-19 sent him best wishes on Saturday.

“Best wishes to Prime Minister Imran Khan for a speedy recovery from Covid-19,” Modi wrote on his official Twitter handle.

PM Imran had tested positive for Covid-19 earlier in the day, according to Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan.

The announcement came two days after the prime minister received a jab for covid-19. He had, though, just received the first dose of the vaccine and not the second. Dr. Sultan went on to say that the prime minister is now isolating himself at home.

The Premier was “not completely vaccinated” when he contracted coronavirus, according to the Ministry of National Health Services. Only the first dose was given, according to the ministry, which is “too soon for any vaccine to become safe.”

Many world leaders wished the prime minister well and wished him a speedy recovery. Christian Turner, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, prayed for Prime Minister Imran Khan on Twitter.

The US Embassy in Islamabad’s Twitter account expressed its condolences to Prime Minister Imran Khan and his family.

The French Embassy in Pakistan’s official Twitter account and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong both wished the premier a swift recovery.

As the third wave of the pandemic sweeps through Pakistan, at least 3,876 confirmed cases of Covid-19 were recorded on Saturday, the highest number in eight months. In the last 24 hours, the virus has claimed the lives of at least 42 people in the world.

In recent days, the number of Covid-19 cases in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Punjab has increased dramatically. As the world grapples with the third outbreak of the pandemic, the UK form of the virus – reportedly more deadly as well – is sweeping through these regions.

Malpractices by some tea importers are damaging the national economy, PTA

KARACHI: The office-bearers of Pakistan Tea Association (PTA) Mr. Muhammad Aman Paracha, former Chairman, Mr. Zeeshan Maqsood, and the Convener Standing Committee (SVC) of Tea in The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) have expressed their concerns over the malpractices being carried out by some tea traders.

They have also requested the Government to take action against those who are involved.

For an upcoming budget, they said, tea should be given the essential status of a common man’s drink rather than being a Luxury since it is so.

Pakistani people, be it upper class, lower class, or any class at all, prefer tea rather than any other beverages.

However, in the meeting on Saturday, the committee also suggested that the duties and taxes should be revised as in:

  • Customs Duty: 5%
  • ST: 7%
  • WHT: 2%
  • ACD: 0%

The Chairman, Muhammad Aman Paracha, said that “tea is raw imported from various countries blended and processed and available to end-users”.

“Therefore, it shall be treated as raw for all rather to selective importers,” he added.

He suggested that “2% withholding tax must be charged from every tea importers. tea importers are also paying 30% value addition at the port stage, like retail or end-user tax, that is on account of the minimum retail price, (mrp).”

It was also pointed out in the meeting that the SRO 450 which is meant for re-export of tea after value addition, the importers who have an exemption of this particular SRO, are misusing this exemption.

They also highlighted the issue and said that “these importers are selling teas to various cities across the country without any documents. Though the teas imported meant for reexport, these teas are imported at zero-rated duties and taxes.”

This is noticed that these teas are not even going to specific warehouses and cities. Therefore, these malpractices are causing a huge loss of revenue and discouraging the importers who are paying full duties.

The meeting also demanded that an efficacious system should be adopted by the relevant FBR authorities and should strictly be monitored, to address the issue.

The authorities can make sure whether teas are going to their respective registered destinies or not and are re-exported as per directions in this specific SRO.

PTA representatives showed fear if these exemptions will continue to take place then the legitimate business will come to halt and everyone will try to get such exemptions.

This could pose a serious threat to the state’s revenue which will result in escalating revenue loss.

Moreover, a few importers were able to get various tax exemptions for PATA/FATA & Azad Kashmir, etc which is also being misused.

This is observed that teas imported exemptions are also going to other cities rather than to desired areas. This must be monitored strictly as well.

The role and objective of the PTA are to promote legitimate trade and highlight the anomalies which are posing a serious threat to national revenue.

What is the issue?

The core issue is that  “SRO 450” tea is also in this SRO. Basically, this SRO is meant for re-export of the tea after value addition. Teas imported under this SRO at zero rates are not even going to specific registered cities and warehouses.

This SRO being widely misused by the importers. These importers are selling teas across the country without any documents. Another issue is that various tax exemptions are extended to FATA/PATA, Azad Kashmir, etc.

This is causing a huge loss of revenue & discouraging the importers who are paying full duties & taxes.

Tea should be eliminated from SRO 450 or an effective system shall be adopted by authorities to prevent a huge loss of revenue.

“If Ms. Noor was free to do what she did, everyone else should be as well. It’s awesome that she feels called and is practicing her religion, but that doesn’t give her the right to name and shame.”

When Noor Bokhari said, “The situation has gotten out of control.”

“I apologise mam Zoya nasir. I did v wrong in past and regret what i did. It concerns me cos there used to be a time dulhan looked so pretty in haya.”

Noor in some other post said, “We are judged if we give an honest opinion about the wrong”

Previously, the veteran actress attempted to launch a feud with Minal Khan over her photographs with Ahsan Mohsin Ikram being posted on social media.

“I really like both the sisters. But if they are married then being close and posting these pics r fine but if not they are misleading youth. Making it alright to post intimate pics before marriage. Or maybe they are nikkahfied aur unke parents khush hein.”

PM Imran Khan Contracts Coronavirus

Imran Khan’s Corona test resulted in a positive outcome on Saturday. Two days after receiving the Corona vaccine dose on Thursday, his Coronavirus test came positive.

Faisal Sultan, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health, made the announcement on Twitter.

The Prime Minister has been put under quarantine at his residence. According to reports, the premier’s servants have been asked to get their test reports as well.

On Saturday, PM warned the media in Islamabad that if people continue to break coronavirus SOPs, the problem could get worse.

“At the moment, hospitals all over the world are struggling with an epidemic of COVID-19 patients,” he clarified.

Dr. Faisal Sultan also stated that the number of cases in Punjab is growing. He encouraged people to obey all health-related SOPs to the letter. He claimed that wearing masks in public spaces is our duty.

The SAPM, on the other hand, told the media about vaccines, saying that people over the age of 70 can get the vaccine anywhere and that there is no obstacle for them.

How did Wheat crisis arise in Pakistan?

Previously, the per capita price of wheat in Pakistan was Rs. 13-14 but the problem was that even at that price, wheat could hardly be obtained.

It was as if it was a crisis that posed a great challenge to Pakistani people but the question is how did this crisis arise?

The situation was considered at an emergency meeting of the Lahore Chambers of Commerce and Industry on February 5, 1953.

After a detailed review of the situation, chamber officials concluded that the root cause of these problems was the government’s misguided trade policy.

The authorities do not understand the problems and are not capable of solving them. An analysis by chamber officials found that Punjab’s grain markets, which were hitherto considered the cradle of grain in the east.

Now they are being blown away because the government’s control over the grain trade has put an end to the business.

Now only an economist can tell how accurate this analysis was. But what were the effects of government control on grain movement and trade?

This is indicated by a news item published on February 3, 1953. The news said that due to the non-availability of wheat, people have been forced to eat maize and millets. As a result, the movement of these commodities from different markets of the country increased.

In some places, there were reports of difficulties in finding these commodities. Following these reports, the government banned their inter-district movement. The newspaper wrote that after this decision of the government, the business in the grain markets came to an end.

Millions of daily wager laborers in these places have lost their jobs. Unemployment of people involved in the food business has taken its place but the kind of situation that has arisen due to the shortage of other foods including wheat.

A study of the newspapers of the time reveals a very disturbing picture of him. According to a February 5, 1953 report, malnutrition had escalated to the point that in some places people began to fill their stomachs by boiling tree roots and hay.

Muhammad Saeed, a great journalist of that time, has written in his autobiography ‘Ahang Bazgasht’. Similar incidents took place in Sargodha and Lyallpur (now Faisalabad) districts. This type of news came up frequently, which highlighted the issue of lack of food meetings.

The situation was similar in less developed rural areas which were far from the cities, but the manifestations of malnutrition in urban areas were very different and varied.

What steps has the government taken?

Both of these types of news give an idea of the extent of the effects of malnutrition, but also of the steps that have been taken to address the situation.

These reports indicate that instead of adopting a comprehensive strategy in this regard, the concerned authorities are focused more on outward and showy measures.

Immediate action was taken to stop the spread of food items from one district to another. Those who were involved in this act were arrested and punished for the violation. Therefore, in addition to food shortages, general political unrest began to grow.

Another aspect of public unrest also came forth, this linked to counterfeiters and criminal elements who in every crisis become active to take advantage of the compulsion and anxiety of the people.

Therefore, during this period, there were a lot of reports that the smuggling of fake ration cards has reached its peak. The counterfeiters were making and selling fake ration cards for two rupees.

The same factors seem to be behind all these crises, that is, the failure to anticipate future situations, lack of planning to deal with crises, and turning a blind eye to the illegal activities of mighty people.

However, the months and years in Pakistan kept changing but the situation remained always the same. Another evidence of this is the prodigal import of wheat instead of eradicating the root cause of the problem.

How India will maintain balance amid US-Russia Tensions?

Maintaining a balance between new and old friends has become a challenge for India amid changing global relationships and priorities.

Challenges from China, trade, and other issues are bringing India closer to the United States, and in such a situation, Russia is not getting close to India’s proximity to the West.

These new and old friends of India, the United States, and Russia, are at odds with each other. Both countries keep blaming each other.

Russia and the United States have been embroiled in controversy over allegations of Russian interference in the US presidential election, and a war has erupted between US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Joe Biden said in an interview that he considered Putin “dangerous.” At the same time, he said Putin would have to pay the price for his alleged interference in the 2020 US election.

In response, Vladimir Putin challenged the US president on Russian TV to speak to him live.

He used poetry in Russian schools, which means “others look the same to us as we are.”

Russia’s objections

US Secretary of State Lloyd Austin is visiting India from March 19. He has met Prime Minister Narendra Modi since his arrival.

The visit is expected to discuss the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad).

The United States, Japan, Australia, and India have formed a quad to address the challenges posed by China.

However, Russia has already expressed its displeasure over the quad. It has also threatened its own regional security.

The annual conference between Russia and India, which has been held for 20 years, was not held last year and the quad is also being considered as one of the reasons.

However, India and Russia attributed the absence of the conference to the Corona epidemic.

Addressing the Russian Council on Foreign Affairs in a video conference on December 8, the Russian foreign minister said Western countries were trying to weaken their close ties with India.

At the same time, the Russian military exercise with Pakistan has also caused Indian unrest.

US pressure on India

The United States is skeptical of India’s purchase of the S400 missile system from Russia. A recent report by the Congressional Research Service of the US Congress has warned that The United States (CAATSA) may also impose sanctions on India over its multibillion-dollar deal to buy Russian-made S400 air defense systems.

However, the outgoing US ambassador, Juster, insisted that “we do not take action against friends under the CAATSA.”

India is a huge market for the United States for arms purchases whereas Russia has a 56 percent share of India’s arms purchases. Here, too, Russia poses a challenge to the United States.

Yet the United States and Russia are both important countries for India, but the challenge facing China, while the tension between Russia and the United States, makes it difficult for India to strike a balance at this stage.

A key Role of China

Dr. Harsh V. Pant, director of the Observer Research Foundation in New Delhi and professor of international relations at King’s College London, says that India has always maintained a balance between the two countries.

But there are fears that this could lead to further tensions in the future. Harsh Pant explained that in the changing scenario, the foreign policies and priorities of Russia, the United States, and India have changed.

“Russia is no longer what it used to be during the Cold War. For this, it is necessary that there be a country that stands by it. At the same time, feeling pressure from the West, Russia has adopted an anti-Western policy in which it sees China as its ally.”

India’s confrontation with China has divided the interests of India and Russia. China and India have a long-running border dispute. The armies of the two countries are facing each other. China and Pakistan remain a challenge for India.

In such a situation, the United States has emerged as a supportive country for India. With regard to China, the interests of both countries meet. In such a scenario, China has become a major factor in India’s relations with Russia and the United States.

India’s problem is that it has to go with both Russia and the United States. India also challenges the position of US superpower through Russia.

India’s relationship with all these countries

India and Russia have a long history of trust and strong ties. It is a big country with which India has no major differences. Russia is a major arms exporter to India and has been doing so since the end of the Cold War.

Russia’s capability and experience in key and strategic areas such as defense, trade, energy, and space have been helpful to India.

At the same time, India’s relations with the United States are on many levels. The two countries have economic, trade, technology, immigration, energy, defense, and political partnerships. When it comes to national security, the United States stands with India on the issue of China and Pakistan currently.

Bilateral needs

Experts also believe that India’s relations with Russia and the United States cannot be unilateral. All parties have their own preferences.

“International relations are based on interests and they are subject to change,” says Harsh Pant. This is not the Cold War era. At the time, Russia and China also lived in different camps, but now the two appear together.

As for the United States, it has changed its foreign policy towards India since 2000. It is seen as a major market and strategic partner in India.

We can understand this from the changing attitudes of the United States towards Pakistan. There was also a nuclear deal with India in 2005, for which the United States amended the constitution. It has started giving priority to India.

The United States needs India’s cooperation in Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, terrorism, and trade.

Just as maintaining a balance between Russia and the United States is a challenge for India, so too will Russia and the United States not want to lose India as an ally. So it remains to be seen how these countries are able to adjust to changing priorities.

Major Social networking sites crashed on Friday

On Friday evening, a large number of social media users around the world appeared to be simultaneously connected to either their phones or Wi-Fi, as if the cause of the unrest spread around the world like a collective activity. That’s when the majority turned to the social networking site Twitter.

The problem was not the phone or the internet connection, but the three major social networking platforms, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Facebook said in a statement on its Twitter account: “We know some people are having trouble sending messages, photos, videos, and other files to our apps. We apologize for the inconvenience and try to get things back on track as soon as possible. ‘

Although services have been restored, the cause has not yet been determined.

Following Facebook’s acknowledgment of the technical glitch, many users made some interesting comments, acknowledging their frustration and confusion.

One of them, Suresh Pilania, said, “I have restarted my phone a hundred times in the last five minutes and I did not know that WhatsApp and Instagram had actually crashed.”

Although WhatsApp has now been restored and many users have expressed their satisfaction on social media, the official WhatsApp account thanked users and said, ‘Thank you for your patience, it was 45 minutes long but Now we are back.

Social media addiction and the constant use of these apps by people is being measured by the fact that not only users turned to other apps to detect the closure of these apps, but were also seen expressing resentment over the disruption in their communications.

This search and frustration were seen in the form of interesting memes on Twitter. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Mark Zuckerberg started trending.

“WhatsApp, Insta, Facebook users Mark Zuckerberg” spoiled the whole mood, “wrote Ian Khan, a user on the communication breakdown.

It is not uncommon for apps to be shut down on such a large scale and for such a long time, and the people to experience the disruption this has also happened in past. Last year in December the entire system and apps run by Google also stopped working for a few minutes.

Google users experienced a brief service outage which prevented them from using google applications like Google Docs, Youtube, and email.

Those who were extremely dependent on Google mobile and desktop applications greatly suffered from the outage.

For a brief moment, people thought it was their Wifi and felt so bad after they came to know what really happened.

Many users were seen expressing their current status through memes.

One user said: “WhatsApp Facebook Instagram has been shut down for 50 minutes, the subject will be discussed for 24 hours and Mark Zuckerberg will receive ridicule for the rest of his life.”

In the same chaos, there are many social media users who did not even know about this whole issue and they came to know about it through trending names.

Referring to those who were oblivious of these networking sites outage, a user named Tayyab Shah said, “The real legends are those who did not know about the issue of WhatsApp and Insta and they are trying to restart the phone.”

At a time when all three popular social platforms were closed, user activity on the social networking site Twitter skyrocketed.

The use of Twitter by Facebook and WhatsApp users seems to have become an interesting topic for meme creators.

A similar meme was shared with a user named Iffrah in which people were seen celebrating and it was written along with it that “the server of WhatsApp and Insta has gone down. And in the meanwhile, the Twitter head correspondent’s scene.”

“Everyone is heading to Twitter, while Mark Zuckerberg has shut down Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp servers,” wrote a Twitter user with a picture of a train full of people inside and outside.

Another user named Chris tweeted a meme showing three penguins circling with the names of Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp written on them, while a penguin, with Twitter written on it, clearly shown as the police officer who is interrogating all three other apps.

Although these social networking apps have been revived, their names and Mark Zuckerberg are still trending and now people are returning to the same apps with tweets and memes circulating.

Talks between US and China worsen

On the US side, negotiations featured Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. On the other hand, Yang Jiechi, China’s highest foreign policy official, and foreign minister Wang Yi were on the other side.

According to reports, Chinese officials have accused the US of inciting countries to “raid China,” while the US has said that China “arrived bent on grandstanding.”

In his opening statement, Mr. Blinken claimed that the US will “discuss our deep concerns with China’s conduct, including in Xinjiang, Hong Kong, Taiwan, cyber attacks on the US, and economic coercion on our allies.”

Mr. Yang of China, on the other hand, accused the US of oppressing other countries by military and financial control.

He said, “It violates so-called national security notions to hinder regular trade transactions and provoke certain countries to strike China.”

When it was first announced that top US and Chinese officials would meet in Alaska this week, there was some hope that it would signal the beginning of a new friendship between the two nations, after an almost complete collapse during President Donald Trump’s final year in office.

China’s foreign minister, Wang Yi, who is attending the Alaska summit, said last month that “in the past few years, China-US relations deviated from the usual course, and ran into the biggest difficulties since the establishment of diplomatic links,” following a call between President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

10,000 individuals to get jobs at Google

Google unveiled plans to spend more than $7 billion in the United States this year, creating thousands of jobs in the process, in an effort to aid the country’s economic recovery.

Sundar Pichai, Google’s CEO, confirmed that the move would result in the creation of “at least 10,000 new full-time Google jobs in the United States this year.”

Google is likely to raise $1 billion in California, which is its hometown. Google said it would add thousands of jobs in Atlanta, Washington, DC, Chicago, and New York, in addition to the San Francisco Bay Area.

“As part of our recently stated racial equality goals, this will help deliver more opportunities and investment to minority communities,” Pichai added.

The news comes as antitrust regulators look at Big Tech’s increasing domination in key economic industries, which has grown since the pandemic as more consumers migrate to online services.

Antitrust lawsuits have been brought against Google in the United States and abroad.

The US government accused Google of having an “illegal monopoly” on internet search and advertisement in a landmark case brought in October of last year. In December, a coalition of US states filed a lawsuit against Google, accusing the corporation of exploiting its internet search supremacy to stifle competition.

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, saw revenues grow 17 percent to $40 billion in 2020, on sales of $182 billion.

Google’s numerous offerings “helped provide $426 billion in economic development for more than two million American enterprises, charities, advertisers, artists, and entrepreneurs,” according to its own economic impact study published Thursday.

According to police, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening in the Pakistan Air Force Falcon Complex housing society.

The East Senior Superintendent of Police Sajid Amir Sadozai said a first information report (FIR) had been filed under Sections 324, 337-H (II), and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

According to Station House Officer Iftikhar Ahmed, the incident arose from a parking dispute in which a car was stopped on the street and an objection was raised. According to the cop, a man attacked Moazzam and his two sons, Fahad and Atta, with a small key chain knife during the ensuing scuffle. So far, no arrests have been made.

Jibran Nasir took to Twitter to share the unsettling footage of the scuffle between the men. He shared a series of tweets and wrote in his tweet, “Just saw horrifying video of man named #IbrahimDurrani reportedly son of a Retd Air Comdr stabbing 2 young men with Swiss knife over a parking issue inside #PAFFalconComplex in presence of complex security & left. Moazzam claimed in the FIR, which Dawn.com has a copy of, that he was present in his home on the night of March 16 and went outside after hearing some noise.

Ibrahim Durrani, Moazzam’s next-door neighbor, allegedly used derogatory language against him and stabbed him with a knife with the intent to kill him, inflicting wounds on his head.

According to the news, his sons came out to try to rescue him but were also stabbed by Durrani. Fahad received an ear wound, while Atta was wounded on his back and collapsed.

Khalid Durrani, the alleged assailant’s father, arrived at the scene and encouraged his son to “hit them more,” according to Moazzam. “The knife can be seen in Ibrahim Durrani’s hand on the CCTV footage from the incident,” he said.

A video clip of the initial argument, which was posted on social media, shows a man moaning to the alleged intruder that he had reversed his vehicle in an unacceptable way and uttered expletives when questioned about it.

The altercation had exploded, according to a second video, with the attacker running at two people with his knife, which he had been carrying during the conversation. The video ended with a person lying dead on the ground, with family members and neighbors attempting to resuscitate him.

Despite being wounded himself, Moazzam took his wounded sons to the Aga Khan University Hospital, according to the FIR.

“My wife told me that Ibrahim Durrani had also resorted to aerial fire,” Moazzam said in the FIR, adding that the perpetrator had threatened them with “dire consequences” if they reported the incident to police.
