Arshad’s Murder was Planned – Kenya HRC

Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) stated that Arshad Sharif’s murder was totally planned and clearly choreographed

KHRC is a non governmental organization which recently shed light on the murder case of renowned Pakistani journalist, Arshad Sharif.

Sharif was shot and killed in Kenya, and the Kenyan police revealed that this incident took place because of ‘mistaken identity.’

But as the case unravelled before the world, it became clear that it was not an accident, rather a murder.

Moreover, according to Dawn report which contained the autopsy that Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences conducted, Sharif had many injuries on his body.

These injuries suggested apparent torture before death.

In an interview, KHRC advisor Martin Mavenjina who is also a lawyer, revealed that the surveillance reveals that Sharif was under observation for a long period of time.

He further said, “he arising question is how did the security agencies know Sharif was present in a specific locality at that time.”

He also slammed the Kenyan police for covering the murder with mistaken identity clause.

He added, “the Kenya police are guilty as charged. Their excuse of mistaken identity doesn’t hold water because when you file a complaint to the police you give a clear description of the vehicle. In this case, the vehicle in which Sharif was traveling was a V8 Land cruiser. These are the vehicles used by cabinet members, parliamentarians, and VIPs.”

Furthermore, he elaborated the case saying, “ordinarily it is very difficult to get a headshot on a very specific target or an individual in a moving vehicle. Even at a close range, it is very difficult but if you look at circumstances in which Sharif was shot at two places, this was well-planned.”
