A 23 yr old girl leaves a video message before committing suicide

Ahmedabad: Ayesha Khan before committing suicide recorded a video to send the message to her husband and jumped into the Sabarmati river.

The video of an Indian 23-year girl went viral on Monday and social media users are demanding justice for Ayesha Khan.

She even called to her parents prior to suicide saying that, “I have set my husband free and I want to jump now.”

According to the details, Ayesha’s parents continued to console her but she said she can’t withstand the troubles any further, the fight should stop.

In a heart-wrenching occurrence, a 23-year-old young girl took her life by committing suicide after jumping into the Sabarmati river in India.

Before she died she left a video on her mobile telling her that she is taking this decision of her own free will and nobody has forced her for anything.

In the video, Ayesha gave a message to her father, “I am happy and I want to die in peace, I don’t want to fight, I love Arif.”

Ayesha also made a phone call to her spouse before ending her life.

The case has been registered against Ayesha’s husband according to Riverfront West police.

The team recovered Ayesha’s body and notified the police.

According to the reports obtained, Ayesha wedded in the year 2018 to Arif Khan. Subsequently the marriage, Ayesha was harassed by her spouse and in-laws over dowry.

Ayesha had filed a complaint against her husband, mother-in-law, and father-in-law.

She also registered a case of domestic violence in court. Later, Ayesha began working in the mutual fund department of the bank.

In the viral video, Ayesha told, “Dear Dad, when will you fight your case? Don’t let Ayesha fight because she doesn’t want to fight. If Arif wants freedom, then he is free. Let’s live our life, this is the opportunity. I am happy, I will meet Allah, I will tell him, where did I go wrong? I got good parents, wonderful friends but something either lacked in me or my fate.”

“I have nothing to say now. Understand that the almighty gave me a short life,” she continued.

She also explained, “One thing I learnt from this life is that one should never go with unrequited love and some people are so ill-fated that their love is not fulfilled even after their marriage.”

Standing near the Sabarmati river, the 23-year old girl said, “This is a lovely river and I hope it absorbs me, Main Hawaon ki tarah hoon; main behna chaahti hoon… Main khush hoon aaj… Mujhe duaon me yaad karna, kya pata jannat mile na mile (I am like the winds; I want to flow… I am happy today… Remember me in your prayers. Don’t know whether I will go to heaven or not)”: these were her final utterances.

Her father, when she called her parents, asked her to calm down and not to take any step.

He also begged her to talk to her mother. Ayesha broke down while talking to her mother and confessed, “All that has happened is enough, I am frustrated, I can’t tolerate it anymore, He (her husband Arif) wants freedom, I will give him the freedom.”

Her parents kept comforting but she hung up the phone. This was the last conversation between Ayesha and her parents.

The Ayesha was shifted to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced brought dead. Police have lodged a case of abetment to suicide against her husband Arif.

How lack of sleep affects you?

We all have been through those times when we couldn’t take enough sleep and felt miserable afterward. Do you remember those days during the month of Holy Ramadan? When you have to get up early for Sahri and then can’t decide whether you should go back to sleep and get up after an hour or so? No wonder the blessed month is full of blessings but we do face some difficulty getting 7 hours of sound sleep. Well, some of you might be nodding to this.

Remember? Back in educational life, we did tend to comprise on sleep and pull all-nighters to study for the exam tomorrow?

Yes we did that too.

Sleeping is a crucial part of our lives. We need to get enough sleep in order to function our day-to-day tasks.

Research shows that the average American feels sleepy 3 days a week due to “not sleeping well,” while others experience this 5 to 7 days a week.

Sleeping has its advantages, from improving the mood and boosting productivity to powering a strong heart.

On the flip side, sleep deprivation can worsen these things too. It can lead to a number of health problems, on both levels: physically and mentally.

We, at daynews.tv warn you to be attentive to these troubles so that you can prevent your health from deteriorating on time. If you ever begin experiencing any of these sleep-deprivation side effects you know the problem.

1. Sleep deprivation harms your brain.

lack of sleep has been associated with schizophrenia and dementia. According to a study, lack of sleep might shrink the brain. Sound sleep is significant to have a well-functioning brain. However, the long-term consequences of sleep deprivation are hard to investigate in humans due to ethical reasons.

2. Lack of sleep leads your skin to age.

Sleeplessness has a risk of producing cortisol, that can lead to break down collagen, the protein which keeps your skin “young.” According to research, adequate sleepers have fewer skin-aging scores than those who don’t sleep well.

3. Sleeplessness affects your emotions negatively.

Sleep deprivation, according to Professor David Dinges, can have numerous unfavorable emotional consequences on a person. It makes people fatigued and irritable. It also makes it harder for you to show positive emotion, and it would be harder to tell when somebody is happy. Because a positive expression can look neutral to the average sleep-deprived person.

4. Lack of sleep can lead to “microsleeps.”

A potential danger sleep deprivation can pose to you is “microsleep.” This involuntary intermittent sleeping can happen unusually, even when you performing an important task or activity. You don’t even realize you’re falling asleep. It can happen with you at school, at work, or most dangerously while driving.

5. Sleeplessness can cause hallucinations and psychosis.

Lack of sleep for long periods of time can lead you to experience a range of mental health problems as well like perceptual distortions and hallucinations. Psychotic symptoms tend to happen frequently when people are awake. You might experience simple visual misperceptions to hallucinations and delusions.  This can result in a serious condition called psychosis.

6. Insufficient sleep can make you gain weight.

The research was carried by doctors at the University of Chicago in which they discovered that there’s a link to an increased appetite and insufficient sleep. The study showed that sleep-deprived people tend to eat more junk food and unhealthy snacks. Dr. Hanlon found through research, that if you’ve had adequate sleep, you’re likely to feel better at controlling your hunger, specifically when you encounter junk food. But he also warned that if we don’t get enough sleep, our cravings for certain foods get uncontrollably stronger. Therefore, our ability to resist these drives is impaired.

So, do you agree with this? have you ever been through one of these conditions when you can’t fall asleep? Have you ever experienced some of the side effects of lack of sleep?

Senate votes to be held by secret ballot, Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD: As political parties are involved in intensive lobbying for the forthcoming Senate elections, the Supreme Court ruled on Monday, by a 4-1 majority, that elections to the Senate are held “under the Constitution” and thus cannot be carried out by an open referendum.

However, the court also held that the security of the ballot was not “pure” and could be diluted by realistic factors, in particular those related to the exercise by the Pakistan Election Commission (ECP) of its mandate to hold free and fair elections without any unethical practices.

The apex court suggested that it was up to the ECP to determine to what degree the vote should remain confidential.

The five-member apex court—headed by Pakistani Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed and comprising Judges Mushir Alam, Umar Ata Bandial, Ijazul Ahsan and Yahya Afridi—announced a reserved opinion in Supreme Court No. 1.

The Supreme Court also specified that “all the executive authority of the Federation and the Provinces are obliged to support the Commissioner and the Election Commission of Pakistan in the execution of their duties.”

The Election Commission must also take all available steps, including “the use of technology to serve a sacred constitutional obligation to ensure that elections are held freely, reasonably, fairly and in compliance with the law and that fraudulent practices are avoided,” the Supreme Court said.

In the major cities as Yangon, Dawei and Mandalay the cops used tear gas to disperse dozens of protesters.

Afterward, horrifying videos, quickly circulated on social media, showed people fleeing to cover themselves while victims laid bleeding on the ground.

Dale Steyn slams ‘midlife crisis’ comment in his tweets

KARACHI: The South African fast bowler of Quetta Gladiators, Dale Steyn, voiced his disappointment at some of the remarks made by the commentators during the match against Peshawar Zalmi.

Although the fast bowler did not list any commentator voicing vexation on Twitter, it was evident from his article that the bowler was referring to New Zealander Simon Doull.

https://twitter.com/_maaaaz/status/1365661020409200645?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1365661020409200645%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.geo.tv%2Flatest%2F337305-psl-2021

“What commentator said I had a mid-life crisis?” In his first of three tweets, Steyn asked on Saturday night.

Simon was told “Mid-Life Hair Crisis” as the TV screens showed Dale Steyn alone in the dressing room while Quetta was pounding.

“If it’s your job to talk about the game, so do that. But if you use the airtime to harass someone for their weight, personal choices, racial origins, habits, etc, or even hairstyles, then I’m afraid I don’t have time for you as a person. You and someone else want that to be fair,” the South African cricketer said in his second tweet.

Steyn didn’t have a successful outing during Quetta’s game against Zalmi on Friday. He conceded 44 runs from four overs, including 21 from the penultimate when he was struck by three sixes – Rutherford and Wahab Riaz.

“It was a wonderful time last night to play in front of the crowds again, cricket is so much easier that way,” he added of playing his first PSL 6 match.

“We’ve lost, but we intend to pull things together in our remaining games. Thanx for support Have a nice weekend for everybody,” he continued to complete a sequence of tweets.

Duke of Cambridge alerts online media ‘awash’ with vaccine lies

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, cautioned that anti-vaccination posts are widespread on social media and encouraged those willing to get jabs, following a similar plea from his grandma, Queen Elizabeth II.

“Social media is awash with a lot of speculation and disinformation,” the Duke of Cambridge said in video footage released by Kensington Palace on Saturday night.

The royal family is speaking out when health authorities have expressed questions over lower representation in ethnic minority groups.

It revealed him and his partner Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, chatting to two women who are psychologically frail who will shortly be candidates for first-time jabs.

In a video call, a woman named Shivali, who has type 2 diabetes, said she had read a number of social media posts that made her “a little worried” about getting vaccinated at first, though she was now positive about getting the shot.

The Prince informed her, “We ought to be a little cautious who we trust and whom we get our facts from, particularly with those who are psychologically frail, it’s very crucial that these vaccines are carried out.”

“Catherine and I are by no means medical professionals, but if it’s any consolation that we can lend our full support to getting vaccines, it’s really, really necessary.”

Vaccine adoption has so far been “amazing,” the prince said, although the challenge now is to ensure that younger generations “know that it’s very important for them to have it.”

The video emerged after the 94-year-old Queen called for people to take the vaccine on Thursday, claiming it “didn’t hurt at all,” when she got it in January, along with Prince Philip.

She suggested that those who were reluctant to have the vaccination, “please care of other people rather than themselves.”

Her eldest son and heir, Prince Charles, 72, who last year had a moderate dose of Covid-19, also got his jab, as did his second wife, Camilla, 73.

To date, the United Kingdom has given more than 19 million people the first dose of vaccine after the introduction of the inoculation program in December.

According to foreign media reports, the Guardian, US intelligence agencies have come to the conclusion in the newly declassified intelligence document that Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi ruler, approved the killing of the Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.

As per media reports, the US intelligence community was confirmed that Prince Mohammed released orders to get rid of the journalist, but the assessment has never officially come to light.

However, the Saudi crown prince refuted the allegations about ordering the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

Washington stopped short of targeting the future king Mohammed bin Salman with financial or other sanctions.

According to the reports, on Friday a four-page report was issued that confirmed the 35-year-old future king’s hand in the violent murder of, Jamal Khashoggi, one of his most prominent critics.

Jamal Khashoggi was exiled in the US and used Washington Post as a platform to criticize the Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman.

The publication of the assessment was followed by further measures by the Biden administration, including the announcement of a controversial “Khashoggi regime” aimed at enforcing visa restrictions against persons who, working on behalf of a foreign government, participate in “counter-dissident” practices, including intimidation, monitoring and attacks against journalists, activists and dissidents.

Now everyone wears masks, carries sanitizers, and takes care of not only themselves but their environment as well. Everything has shifted to a ‘new normal’ which doesn’t seem really normal at least at the moment.

PHEW! But we know that things didn’t just change, they suffered badly as well. Many businesses shut down and jobs were lost. The music industry is no exception. All the big artists and names who released albums before 2019 and wanted to tour and planned concerts in 2020 went downhill. All the concerts were canceled due to safety issues during the pandemic. And still, there is a ban on public gatherings.

But there is a breath of fresh air because the music industry is also trying to find a new normal. Many celebrities held concerts online through zoom and have been releasing music to help their fans going through this pandemic. Also, this pandemic has changed the concept of live concerts.

For instance, British DJ, Hot Since 82 planned to tour the world in 82 but that didn’t go as planned so he became very creative and did a live concert from a hot air balloon and also at Hartlepool beach. James Drummond, who is the manager of Hot Since 82 said that pandemic has forced people to think differently. They wanted people to experience live music again but that was not possible so a natural environment was their solution. And we can say it was a hit solution. The setting, environment, and smooth drone shots offered a completely new kind of experience.

Another influential musician and celebrity, The Weekend also transformed his live performances into a ‘cinematic experience.’ He performed his hit song ‘Heartless’ on Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where The Weekend gave a single-shot performance backstage leading up to the live studio stage. This is different from traditional live stage performances.

Rinstra, a digital platform where you can showcase your talent

Alex Lill who is the creative force behind The Weekend’s performances and videos said that they wanted to create a cinematic experience not only for the live audience but for people watching at home too. And according to him, they had planned a performance like this even before the COVID hit but couldn’t pursue it. However, when the pandemic emerged, many TV networks and platforms invited them to share this new concept.

Alex Lill took another step forward when The Weekend performed at American Music Awards in November, where Alex again showed his single-shot concept followed by fireworks and timed pyrotechnics. And the best part was that the performance was shot outdoors so the audience could see the background hit by COVID in the bare streets of Los Angeles.

Dua Lipa raised the bar for live performances when she arranged a summer Livestream concert that had dancers, exceptionally choreographed steps, and guest singers performing in the Warehouse.

Oscar Sansom, the creative director of Forest of Black production studio sees COVID as an opportunity to revolutionize the music industry and the nature of live performances. He says that the new ‘filmed live performances’ concept is a very exciting, interesting, and completely new genre that should be explored and pursued.

Oscar filmed the live performance of Liam Gallagher who performed on a Barge that was floating down the River Thames. Sansom insists that this new way of filming live performances takes the musical experience to a completely different level with deep emotions and excitement.

Due to the pandemic, many different ideas are being explored by the artists. Many artists are using social distancing, and COVID-related themes as metaphors to describe their situation and feelings throughout this pandemic. This has been artistically achieved by Sansom as he filmed the Scottish rock band, Biffy Clyro’s live performance which took place in Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom. The band performed in a cube. It was a metaphor for being caged in their homes due to the pandemic and this COVID being the barrier between them and their fans. The energy and intimacy increased twice because of this conceptual performance.

Sansom explained that in the cube the band could only see their reflection and the camera was outside the glass. The band was completely separated from everything and everyone else on the set and because of this setup, the tone of the performance also changed as it released the tensions and frustrations. It was a surreal experience as the lead singer screamed the final lyrics of the song.

It was pure magic.

The young and mega pop star of this era Billie Eilish performed her hit single ‘Therefore I Am’ on American Music Awards. Her performance was an illusion of increased space during this pandemic signifying social distancing. There was an endless maze of corridors where Billie was seen performing just like the music video.

Hollie Wright who is the lecturer at Birmingham University, in design for performance and stage management, said that the performance of Billie Eilish plays with the idea of space and provides an intimate setting for the fans and audience.

As we have seen, the world has gone online because of the pandemic and so did the audience. So, the experience for live audiences has also changed. London Barbican, the performing arts center changed its setup too. The music head, Huw Humphreys, brought the live schedule online. Many new cameras in large numbers were installed all around the concert hall to provide a familiar yet new experience to the audience.

Humphrey said that it was a huge challenge for them but this has sparked their interest and brought a change in their way of thinking. Now there are many new shots and different angles that the audience will enjoy and that they have never seen before at Barbican.

For the future, Humphrey says that they want a whole concert hall filled with an audience and a remote audience at the same time. He is positive that this can be achieved in the future as it will allow them to reach people internationally.

Although the change is uncertain, the production houses and we as the audience are very excited because art flourishes best in dark times as the creative minds try to tackle the barriers to explore and project their art. This new situation and setup will have a profound and lasting impact on the music and creative industries.

Like Sansom, we also believe that we are at the start of something very exciting and fresh with virtual shows and intimate experiences. Fingers are crossed for the uncertain and exciting future.
